AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Ian Cutress also said he has time set aside for an Interview with Mark Papermaster... should be interesting, this reminds me a bit of the previous Zen stuff.. hoping we see some solid 7nm CPU and GPU info.

Let's do some playful speculation to tide us over for an hour :D

I have exciting news for tomorrow. Will post 9am ET. You're in for a treat

Go on then, what does he mean? What do you want this to mean?

Posting on Twitter implies to me that this will be exciting news within the consumer marketplace; I should imagine a lot of his followers aren't server/datacenter peoples. So is this a sneak preview of an ES 3700X battering a 9900K in synthetics?

"In for a treat" also suggests to me it'll be something of wide-reaching interest, so perhaps not a Navi tease given AMD's current gaming GPU developments are, shall we say, divisive. Although a Navi 64 going toe-to-toe with a GTX 1080 Ti would be a treat and a half ;)

I reckon in for a Treat is going to be something EPYC related, considering Intels awkward news on their new 48c piece of overpriced junk, i wonder if AMD have shown or sent him info on something to ridicule this latest Intel shenanigans...

I would love it to be solid info on Zen2 for Desktop though, 3700X shining against the 9900k, or a GPU announcement for something that competes between 1080ti and 2080ti and a) doesnt use HBM and b) does not cost a small island to buy.

I think you might be in for disappointment, I don't think you'll get any CPU news for the budget conscious. I do think it will be GPU related though, just my hunch.

without doubt it is going to be a surprise gpu announcement - showing a new vega equalling or beating a 1080ti at just below current vega64 pricing (source - i just bought a vega64 so guaranteed to get screwed over :p)
