AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

And Mark Papermaster just said Zen 2 is sampling now and will come to market in 2019. We already knew this, he said this months ago :( so are we getting anything tangible or new here?

Too tired to watch this now...

4.35 GHz Boost +25% is 5.43 GHz Boost at 7nm.

Not necessarily, don't get your hopes up from that.
14nm was a 3Ghz node, 12nm a 3.3Ghz Node...
Of course that is most efficient rating, with higher volts and power you go above that, as Zen 1 and Zen + does.
When you add that 25% add it to the node base clock. 3.3 + 25% = 4.125Ghz, yes the CPU will clock higher and perhaps 5.4Ghz but IMO that is unlikely, i think architectural limitations will come into play before then.

But i think 4.8Ghz certainly, 5Ghz yeah possibly, why not? a little more? maybe...

They said a 24% performance increase? but do they mean clock speed or IPC? or a combination of both? I honestly can't see the 3k series of chips hitting 5k clock speed 4.6/4.7 maybe but not 5k.

Here's the worlds first 7nm GPU and no proper stream, AMD snatching defeat from the jaws of victory once again, what were they thinking.

If they are talking about the node (7nm) its clock speed, if they are talking about the CPU its a combination of both, i don't know which bit you are talking about, i came in a little later, i just saw 7nm 1.25x performance, that's +25% RATED NODE clock speed.

Just process improvement from what we can tell.

That isn't how i read it, but the sound quality is rubbish. He was saying that Zen 2 has an uplift of 25% throughput. In my mind that reads IPC.................maybe i'm wrong on that though.
