AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Ryzen 12nm refresh for the 2xxx series did that. They got a much stronger mem controller from what I've seen. Would have got a 2950X but my mem's crap so no point :D

Cool. Thanks. Any point me just upgrading my 1600 to a 2xxx series on my tomahawk board?

Ill put some coal in to the Hype Train :D

Looks nice, I hope it’s true. It will mean I can build an absurdly powerful machine (for a gaming rig...) relatively cheaply on a 3600X. Should keep me going for another few years.

I can't see anyone selling a 5ghz, 64c 128t with 256mb of cache for less than £10k. So much hardware would become obsolete over night.

What, like 8c 16t desktop CPUs 2 years ago? That would be "disruptive" :p But no, I don't believe it either

That looks very very dubious. If there was any way they could launch a desktop sku with a 5.0 boost they would do it. So the 5+ speeds only being TR is an obvious fail.

Obviously if it is true then it is a world of butthurt for intel until they get back on track with a full node ahrink.

People were saying this exact sort of thing when Ryzen was mostly rumours. People were incredulous to the possibility of AMD releasing an 8 core 16 thread CPU for any less than Intel's current prices. Yet they released at less than half the price.

Looks like 300 and 400 boards may not support Ryzen 3000 after all and here's why.

Yup for people that went CHEAP motherboard. People like ME that went with Top spec ones are ok If I remember Crosshairs can deliver over 350w in to cpu. Even with my 230w power draw daily oevrclock max I'w seen after hours of torture was 45c on VRM :D

So you link to a Youtube video, with the absolutely worst sort of guessing using an "unnamed source" to provide the information which if things don't turn out as stated he just states he was mislead by the so called source etc. His technical knowledge with regards to power delivery is also terrible, and lends zero credibility towards his information. Why do people even remotely believe this sort of tripe?

I know that guy got ZERO clue what hes talking about :D For starters 7nm wont be requiring as much power as 14 or 12nm. Cpus will be SAME tdp at stock +- 5-10w as it always been.

People bealive it cause its not only on internetzzz but most 1000% accurate part of it. YOUTUBE !!! You dont know Youtube is ultimate source of FACTS ??

Fair point.
