Has any VRM been proven to hold XFR back (with PBO disabled)?

VRM's tend to be overbuilt in my experience. Unless we talking extreme overclocking.

Half the Asus boards have garbage VRM with four weak phases using very low end and only one high side FET.
The Stilt found ROG Strix B450-F overheating its VRM after 12 minutes of x264 encoding with stock 2700X.
Some Prime etc load would likely overheat it even faster.

Also Gigabyte uses similar VRM design in B450 mobos running risks.

Zen did have a load of memory issues at launch though. So it's not as if @Silent_Scone was wrong at the time?

More apparent Retailer Ryzen 3000 leaks.

3800X 16 core 4.7Ghz Turbo.
3700X 12 core 5.0Ghz Turbo.
3600X 8 core 4.8Ghz Turbo.

RedGamingTech have done a followup on this, They say someone spoke to the retailer about these specs who confirmed they are correct and the CPU are due for launch at the end of May, stock due July / Aug.

Due around the end of May would make my day, but I'm only buying when an acceptable price/performance GPU above the Vega 64 is available.
I'm happy to spend about 1K on a set up for the CPU/GPU/Motherboard but no more.

I can't see any logic in a 2 month paper launch before stock.

AMD need a normal launch with stock and reviews on the same day with stock being plentiful.
My Vega 64 will keep on trucking for a while, but I really want more performance now I've started 4K gaming on my OLED.

Buy a second vega 56 for £249.99 sell the 2 games and enjoy some crossfire
or get yourself some radeon 7 like i did

I 4k like a champ, and only turn off AA as its not needed at 4k anyway, 60+ easy on nearly everything.

I guess the shop was talking to the persons inquiring as a customer and perhaps the shop doesn't have the channel access that perhaps a larger retailer might who would get prioritized.

Or it could be a paper launch (Computex) with availability a couple moths later, that would not be unusual.

Vega 7 isn't anywhere near enough of a gain for the 400 it'll cost me to upgrade.

Whats wrong with crossfire? I had it before i upgraded to a R7 it was sweet af, id say about %70 of my games worked with it, either straight away or by adding a profile for it, was smashing 2080ti fps to pieces on the regs.

Your Vega 7's underwater, so it's not really a fair comparison as you're running at a much higher speed than I'd get from a Vega 7.

If that leak is accurate, I'm getting the 3800x, no hesitation. I'm in the 'pro content-creation, little too cheap to buy a threadripper right now' camp, be snapping up that 16-core at launch.

Crossfire is still a thing, i promise you but as for the radeon 7, yeah its come down to £599 which is a little better, but still worth it.
And the firestrike ultra thing was a bit of a trap, i hold the 3rd fastest Radeon 7 score in 3dmark ;P

I have got a feeling that AMD are going to push crossfire again with Navi, assuming it comes in as sub Vega VII performance, in which case I'm tempted to buy two Navi's if extra support is guaranteed.

I have fingers crossed for a Super Navi that is better than a radeon 7 or replaces it, they cant afford to keep making radeon 7's and want rid, hence the 50th anniversary version, it was never meant to be a thing yet, they just had to get something out there, I believe there will be a vega 64 version 2 (7nm) also
