It's against a 6 core CPU that's far cheaper. Wait until the rest of the benchmarks. So the 9900k is still the king of gaming according to that

No... beyond 8C 16T i don't think there is any scaling
Ok so I'll wait for those but currently my comment still stands right?Flippin heck, top intel desktop chip at 500 notes v's bottom of the stack Zen2 chip and the difference in gaming is very slim.
There are like 5 or so models above this one, all with higher clock speeds.
Possibly on "x" chips, as the algo that controls the boost is really good. God knows how they have tweaked it this time.Is it true you get worse performance from all core OC than just using XFR/PBO?

Then you obviously know much more about Zen2 than AMD do themselves?
Oh hang on, " i don't think there is any scaling"..........................AMD obviously do, just for the record the 3950x will have 2 cherry picked CCX's that neither you or i know what they are capable of yet. One thing is for sure though, it will be a much better SKU than all the SKU's below it. If by your own analysis the 3800x will match the 9900k, then the 3950x will blow it out of the water.

I hope so although it depends on the motherboard manufacturers if they decide to release Beta BIOSes supporting new Ryzens.Does this mean things are looking good for x370 boards working with 3000 chips without any performance penalty? My asus prime pro x370 has updated bios for the new chips and I don’t intend to change it for a newer board. Think I’m going with a 3700x.
So what applications will definitely make use of all 12 cores?
