I work for an American company so can easily get items bought over when staff visit this office. I am tempted to get the 3900X as I am guessing I could get it for less than £400.

Between £392 and £420 depending on the state it is bought in.I work for an American company so can easily get items bought over when staff visit this office. I am tempted to get the 3900X as I am guessing I could get it for less than £400.

Zen 2's IPC is better if AMD are telling the truth so they can get away with lower clock speeds. But 9900k 5ghz is not its OC limit and who know what Zen2 is OC limit hmm

Florida probably cheapest. But we are talking a quid here and there.Interesting, I can get it in either Florida, New Jersey or North Carolina. I will do some research and wait for benchmarks.
I get up wrong side ogf bed every day nowadays. And I am on chill pills from doctor still not doing much..You get up on the wrong side of the bed?
We know the performance of the 9900K and it's overclocking ability.
We are still waiting for the remaining higher end zen 2 SKUs to be reviewed. With a stock boost up to 4.7Ghz there is a chance they could overclock an additional 2-300Mhz.
What's wrong with you Maybe you need to chill mate.
You know what I want to see Max overclock on custom water 9900k vs 3900x. Not Stock not air not some ****** AIO. The unlimited water situation.. I know on good water 9900k will do 5.2 all core. It will be hot with AVX workload abut as long as its stable who cares. Now what can 3900x do with 233wats is the real question. You would think so but there will always be a loud minority which will ignore IPC and actual performance screaming "But mah 5Ghz 14nm+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++"

Wise to await reviews. I'm doing the same.
Try exercise. seriously. Run some 5Ks.I get up wrong side ogf bed every day nowadays. And I am on chill pills from doctor still not doing much..
Hypothetically, if Zen 2 can match that performance at 4.6 GHz all core what does it matter if you can get 5.2 GHz if it performs the same on the AMD at the lower frequency? You know what I want to see Max overclock on custom water 9900k vs 3900x. Better smaller screenshot. Everyone is on about 5.0x8 I'm more of an 5.2 all core person.
If ya dont care about Gaming You should be ion Threadripper not Ryzen. Could have had 16 cores and 128gb of ram years ago. With quad memory channel.
So 3700X doesn't need overclocking it'll perform better at "stock"?
I wanted to challenge the 233w claim, but then I saw the vcore. Now what can 3900x do with 233wats is the real question
not mine its one of OCN user. Purely interested in Gaming benchmarks at this point.I wanted to challenge the 233w claim, but then I saw the vcore.
You got great silicon there. 5.2 on less than 1.3V must be in top 1%.
I think 3900X will beat you in multithreaded benchamrks on default clocks. And will match in everything else as well at 4.7-4.75 all core
Not sure it is targeted at 9700K owners. So the 3800X will beat the 9700k by miles in gaming?
I have my 9700K at 5.2GHz all cores when gaming.
I fancy a change
Also dont forget there are people like me that buy Binned chips if they are around and 5.2 are around for 589BucksI wanted to challenge the 233w claim, but then I saw the vcore.

If you buy a CPU from the US, wont we get charged custom charges? I ordered a Glorious O from the US and had to pay like £8 when I received it.
