noticed that myself. my current 1700 on a asus 370 prime pro is running slightly faster timings at 3000.
It bodes well TBH, all things considered.

Crappy RAM clocks & timings.

3000@CAS 16 isn't exactly crap, it's probably what an average consumer would be around.

Fair point, but an average consumer probably wouldn’t be on here.
It also doesn't suddenly make it crap. I admit that these leaks would be better for 3600@C15 or so would be nicer to see.
I currently have Vengeance 3466 running at 3200 C14 currently, I hope I can push them a bit further on an X570 board.
3200 C14 benchies would be a better comparison was what I meant. I think the new chips look good and I for one will be buying.
Was just pointing out that the RAM speed and timings were sub-optimal compared to Zen+.
(gaming) If both were free which would you go for:
Ryzen 3900x + X570 Gigabyte Aorus Master + 64GB Ram or
9900K + Z390 Gigabyte Aorus Master + 64GB Ram
So 3900x is fastest for gaming? Do not care about core count...
Is that supposed to be good?
I only ask as my 9700K beats it CPU 3770 cb.... CPU single 517 cb.....MP ratio 7.30x
I am hoping AMD kills Intel in gaming. And I don't mean TRADES BLOWS
Is your i7-9700K overclocked? If not it should be running at 4.9 GHz in the single core test. The R5 3600 would be at 4.2 GHz. So 94% of the single core performance in this test but at 86% of the clock speed and around 55% of the price. Is that supposed to be good?

Only cares about gaming, selects 64GB RAM. Sounds about right
3900X all day long, even on the scant information AMD have put out
Its not too shabby for the lowest product in the stack with 2 less cores.

Bear in mind this is the lowest SKU.
I down clocked it to 5.0 GHz.
So it's not going to be a killer gaming cpu?(forget about the cost of the cpu)
That's not bad at all. My 8086k at 5.1 Ghz did 535.
Not as much as a killer gaming CPU as the 3800X which is up against the 9700K.
But the 3600 (Non X) does a bloody good job for AMDs slowest CPU in the current 3000 series.
So the 3800X will beat the 9700k by miles in gaming?
I have my 9700K at 5.2GHz all cores when gaming.
I fancy a change
