AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Just been reading that reddit that I linked. Quite surprised to see that X470 boards seem to lack BIOS Flashback. There are the odd one or two, but generally you need to go B450 in order to get that incredibly useful function, and even then only with MSI and Asrock for ATX boards.

Rain Forest is really bad for hunting down what you're looking for, they don't even give you an option for distinguishing between AMD and Intel let alone chip-set, instead they give you brand and ATX size options.

whats the reasoning on no OcUK Pre-orders?

I've generally found it goes:

Pre-orders: Normal prices
Release: gouged to absolute heck
after release frenzy: normal getting cheaper.

I can't understand OcUK not doing pre-orders... ;)

I guess my pre-order will have to go somewhere else.

So that they can gouge it to death on launch.

Where's these supposed Ryzen 3XXX preorders coming from tomorrow?

I'm of the opinion there will be none.

yeah... odd. I was *sure* I'd seen 1st for official pre-orders. Checked again and there's no sign of it anywhere. I must have been tripping.

Hmmm... not happy with the gouging frenzy that will occur in that case. Might even hold off for reviews.

Some stuff like that can't be as well controlled. I'd be surprised if they're sanctioned pre orders

Well at least we known what the top AMD X570 motherboards cost in the UK - between £650 to £800!! They seem to confirm the leaked pricing, plus the usual UK markup.

So £350 to £400 for the Asus X570 Hero, looks to be realistic.

There's no guarantee there will be gouging.
We know what the price is roughly meant to be.
