A Riotoro CR280? It costs under £50.
Well we already know we can get it for ~£470 delivered if you buy from across the pond (Thats including the VAT). So any more than that will be "not best value".
Hhhmm they seem a tad high to me. Was hoping the 3700X would have been closer to £300 not £400
Other places have the 3700X listed at ~£319-329
You sure? $500 in GBP *1.2 + 8 (handling fee) comes to about £485

Prices from a UK retailer were already posted here a few days ago and they were all cheaper than those prices.
So like the previous 2 generations the CPUs are clocked to their limits??
Was there ever a reason to expect Ryzen to have decent overclock potential?
Not to you in particular, but given how low it clocked even under LN2 (those recent records), it was almost a given it wouldn't budge past the stock frequency.

Exactly, it is easy to find itx case with good price, but it is hard to find compact ATX case (cerberus x style) for a good price.
Well, with matx mobo you can have a dicent onboard audio + extra 2 pci slot and + extra 2 ram slot.
Other day i bought a asrock Fatal1ty Z370 itx and the audio was terrible compared to my x370 taichi that has the same audio chip. The quality difference was probably due to only quantity of capacitors, as on ITX you dont have space for nothing there.
The funny thing is that you can find decent x299/x399 matx mobo, but it is too expensive for who only play a game that is +10 years old and single thread lul

Manual overclocking is almost dead when PBO/Boost/Whatever eeks out most of what you will get anyway without pushing crazy volts. Choice is basically do you go for highest all core clock or highest boost.
I don't think anyone here expects them not to since we are the ones who benefit from competition. I just don't think it will go down very well for them to hype PBO so much if the CPUs don't have any OC potential, because its their reputation on the line. What did You expected ?? I said if I culd hit Max boost on All core IT's better outcome than I expected.
