Would help if you read the whole post!

It's $249, which is £198+ VAT is ~£240 give or take. Pricing is from ASRock.

:D

Have a feeling it'll be whack bang at £330 mark . Taichi naming to carry it over asus strix priced just a little bit more

I'm failing to see your point? I said read my reply, I'll quote if for you to save you the hassle, ok?

I am simply passing on what I was told by ASRock, I deal with their IPC/Commercial boards and I asked, they told me. That is it, there is no argument, I am neither right nor wrong, just passing on the information. :)

If it is $330/£330 then I don't see why that effects what I was told other than it not being correct, I am simply acting as a messenger, that is it, end of.

thanks for the heads up, seems some comments on here aren't buying your word but nice for postings and walking the fine line
I have no reason to disbelive 8 pack. I dare say he's probably an honest guy.

But I would also me a moron to take an employees word for the performance of something when they have a vested interest in selling it. We have had zero reviews of it and still no word on pricing.

They do, and they are good boards for not much money, MSI really hit it off with their 400 series board's. a Pro Carbon is probably what i'll end up with.

Sadly I need all my pcie slots + nvme m.2 so b450 is out. Annoyingly it'd work if board manufacturers were a bit more diverse in their layout choices.

The most thing ridiculous about all this?

OCUK won't tell us the bloody prices of the motherboards! Why? Why would the price of something be a secret. it makes no sense. AMD released the MSRP of the chips weeks ago. Why are the motherboard prices so hidden? I mean we are going to find out on sunday. So why not now? Would help us plan our builds. All this uber secrecy is just plain stupid and actually annoys me. You don't get this in other industries, consumers wouldn't tolerate it.
When Tesla announce a new car. They tell you the price. Months before it's ready for purchase! Same with anything. Just PC hardware they take their customers for mugs.

It's called an NDA for a reason. Chill out.

2700 is sold as 4.35 boost, not all core.
True but the 9900k is sold as single core 5ghz boost not all core. How many 9900Ks can do all core 5ghz and how many
2700Xs can do all core 4.35Ghz. We both know the 9900k has a good chance of hitting 5ghz all core (87% will reach 4.9ghz all core)
and the 2700X has almost zero chance of hitting 4.35ghz all core. We can split hairs but I think you understand the point I'm making.

^^^ These results are quite a way out from current... Agesa code old....

In current batches not many Intel can hit all core 5ghz actually...

Obviously they are binning for the new SKU and I expect a lot of 5.1-5.2ghz chips within this sku...

All Intel can do 4.9ghz all cores.

Search Rain Forest for MSI X470 GAMING PRO would that do the job? it's not much money at all.

By Rain Forest i'm talking about a big river / forest in South America, can't say the name, forum rules.

It's called an NDA for a reason. Chill out.
And I am questioning why there needs to be one of the PRICE of something. Fair enough don't talk about performance (even this is pretty stupid). But hiding the price of something? That's just insulting to consumers.

I can see why they do it.

Build hype, build hype, build hype build hype. BOOM - drop price bomb when it's already too late. BUY BUY BUY! quick! we might sell out!

The reason it annoys me is I find it insulting. You wouldn't get it in other industries because consumers wouldn't tolerate it. or... say things like "It's called an NDA for a reason. Chill out." for example.... They would have the gumption to question it and demand transparency.

BMW release a new car. They tell you how fast it is. all the features. and the price. It is then reviewed on places like top gear ALL BEFORE it is released or available too buy! We are consistently treated like morons in this industry.

How much is it?
I'm a potential customer with money in my pocket.
In no other walk of life would someone refuse to tell me how much a product that is for sale in 2 days costs lol.

I have to agree with everything you state here and before ..it is ridiculous not knowing the price..
more so when trying to price up a few builds within a certain budget..then the mad rush looking at reviews then ordering within specific budget on Sunday hoping stuff does not go out of stock ...

NDA on price means one thing and one thing only, it's going to be more expensive than it should. There's no other reason to hide it from your customers.

Latency Intel vs AMD is utterly irrelevant, you do know that don't you? the Latency could be 1'000 ns vs 1 ns the performance is still what it is, comparing memory latency between different CPU vendors has no bearing on anything, it's just an abstract number.
