AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

You can select drop off through the DPD app. Not sure what issue is. That's what I do with all DPD orders to collect now.
DPD wouldn't let me change the location of delivery without me contacting OCUK for them to change it.
Buzzer broke so whilst being home I missed 2 delivery attempts one being an extra £5. Sadly they sent the text about not being able to enter after already driving off both times.
Guessing they have no drop off in my area which is why they couldn't offer me such a service. Only been trying since Friday for my motherboard and NVME to arrive.

same i got 2 orders my 3900x amd whole new rig for my mate. But must be mental in warehouse :D First they needed to unload new stock book new stock in then start on backorders hehe
Well my order went through at 14.02 but still haven't had an email saying it's been dispatched.

Can't have been that many in front of me, I was like lightning!

@Gibbo I have just ordered the 3900x with a motherboard but I fear the stock bios on it won't be compatible with the 3900x and as I have no amd processors to throw in is it possible for you to flash the latest bios on it before shipping?

Even if they are in, they would need to be packed in time for a DPD pickup, which I'd guess won't be super late - Recon a lot of emails going out tomorrow morning for an early pickup of orders made up tonight.

if all goes well i may opt for a 8pack 4000mhz set, if my dominators can reach near that, i'll sell them and get the 4k kit from ocuk

In Ryzen 3000 platform, 4000MHz memory speed offers less performance than running 3200MHz due to infinity fabric divider going 2:1, whereas 3200MHz is 1:1, hence why we do not recommend speeds beyond 3600MHz as 1:1 infinity fabric works at 3200MHz, is generally OK at 3600MHz but is very hard to achieve beyond these speeds, the very best CPU's may achieve 3733MHz.

my order hasnt been dispached either, have fingers crossed it will be sent today, if not i may book this friday off work so i can get it sorted

Ordered 3900x yesterday around 14:30, support just told me should still be shipping today so will get tomorrow.

... I reckon they are just waiting for a shipment of haribo before sending orders out...

i'm going to use 2 stick from my quad set, i have had the 4 sticks at 3866mhz before on x299 build but voltages and timmings were less than desirable, will take your advice on board and if i can hit around 3733mhz with the new chip and board then i'll be happy XD

That's not true. The newer AGESA is far better, but Gigabyte appear to have failed at the implementation thus far.

AsRock and MSI there is major uplift.

No idea about ASUS (not many people seem to be going for their boards this time round). Biostar, as you would expect, still have the old initial BIOS (and they haven't sent any review samples yet) - they tend to make less iterative updates and release when they're happy with major revisions.

The Gigabyte rep active on r/amd is blaming Agesa not their Bios people. I thought MSI was exhibiting similar issues.
