AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

What time did you order? I ordered when it stated Preorder for 8th July which was before any 10+ stock was listed.
I ordered within 5 mins of them coming into stock when it said 10+ available. after i ordered it was still 10+ available for some time then i watched it drop to 8 then 6 about 30 mins later. I did call and check that my order went in OK and they said yes it will be dispatched today..... but seems not so. I really am a little annoyed at OCUK right now.

He claims that (brags almost) about getting the BIOS updated before he tested as to not getting gimped results versus every other site but even then, how much faith can I put into these numbers with an X470 board. If performance is THIS good, I'll buy the 3600X over the 3700X now.

These numbers seem fishy, unrealistic at best - or has this guy managed to cure the BIOS/Nvidia driver issue?

Gibbo's trying to saying in a nice what that getting a chip that will do 3733 on the RAM will require a fair amount of luck and people should ride out 3200/3600 instead. Maybe you'll get lucky though!

I very much doubt OcUK have done much testing.

Its just a case of finding one from the right batch. Assuming 3733Mhz T1 is possible with tight timings.

They didn't show as 10+ in stock until today AFAIK?As of Sunday OcUK were anticipating stock delivery on Monday.

No, Nvidia didn't sell £1000+ graphics cards with faulty RAM and advertised a feature that performed abysmally in the 2 instances it was implemented. Nothing "haphazard" about RTX at all.

You're not keen on Ryzen, we get it, but do try to kepe your bias and melodrama to a minimum, yeah? It's rapidly diminishing what few valid points you make.
On the contrary I'm keen but a little concerned. 2080ti was a joke as is RTX/pricing/DLSS aka 'blur vision' that's why I'm still on 1080ti. I love the effort to paint me into a partisan corner
but AMD have a great product and I'll wait and see how things pan out. I wanted desperately to buy 3900X and consistent 4.5/4.6 one or two cores and I'd be in. I even bought 16GB 8pack teamgroup
4000mhz RAM then I returned it 2 weeks ago because I wasn't confident 3700X/3800X/3900X could give me a noticeable boost for my specific needs. It's all good, I've saved money, Zen 2 fans are happy and hopefully performance issues will be resolved soon enough.
On a side note I wanted more Arma 3 performance at 4K (I'm not GPU limited in that game) and on same high preset YAAB 3700X scores 57FPS 3900X scores 56fps and my
current CPU 5960X (from 2014) scores 53.7 (yes it's 'overclocked' that's the name of this website!). That is where my disappointment comes from!

every other reviewer tends to use a 2080ti not a radeon VII which could be the source of the difference. most people won't be using a 2080ti or even a radeon VII so YMMV depending on the card. only have to look at the differences when changing resultion to see the changes in results between different cards as well.

Uh most "reviewers" are terrible at benchmarking. lol @ his shadow of the tomb raider 4K High benchmark. A crappy Radeon VII would be so bottle-necked at those settings, then shows a 3600X with 58 FPS and a 9900K at 53 FPS. Literally none of those CPU's would even be close to maxed out yet he "Shows" a large gain with the 3600X. Total amateur.

Whilst I agree with the fact "4K" is GPU bottlenecked and that reviewer seems like an absolute chump (lol), Radeon VII does well at "4K" (above 1080Ti), not what I would consider "crappy".

I am glad this was posted. I was thinking of just going for 3600. But now looking at 3200 with better timings/latency :) - also saving myself 80eur.

And I've got 2666 Ripjaws at CAS15 which I was previously looking at hocking for 3600+, that's incredibly good news.
