Soooo for someone that mostly uses the PC for gaming. I don't do many CPU stringent tasks, except a tiny amount of video editing for gaming clips. Should I look for a 2nd hand 5800x3d or buy a new 7600x?
Your simulations, animations etc will be mostly CPU. High poly sub-d models may chug a lower end CPU. Rest is mostly GPU. Basically you need both ideally, but it also depends.Do we know how these new processors will affect 3d software like Blender? I know a lot is done by the GPU, but some stuff like fluids I believe, are handled by the CPU. Or do we find out more today?

@ColdAsIce - You deleted your post but yes. For gaming your best bet would be either of those.
5800X3D then would be the best bet as a drop in upgrade.I was a muppet not realising I would need a whole new MB/RAM setup to take advantage. Currently have an x570 MB.
