10% is not enough, 9950x should be $500-$550 max. Its poor performance means you can go buy 7950x3d and be done with it, its unlikely 9950x3D is going to fair much better than the 9950x, hope I am wrong.

Christ... i can't watch anything that has adverts inserted every few minutes.
Basically says Zen5 benefits more from 24H2 then Zen 4, uplift on 9950X in games approx 10%, speculates MS held 24H2 back to help Intel and hinder AMD

While attributing malice to the grand masters of FUD, Microsoft, is often correct the reason might be more about helping Qualcomm with the ARM push, or even incompetence as Microsoft has so many yes-men that nobody questioned whether rolling out an AI-assisted rootkit key and image logger could possible be unsafe.
Microsoft are notorious at pushing out unsafe tech if they think it helps their dominance or they think they are behind somewhere - VBA macros in their day were pushed to make Office even more dominate and if some script kid abused them the likes of the FBI would never point any fingers at whoever left the door wide open in the first place!

And I've seen another comparison where Zen4/7800X3D benefits just as well if not slightly better, I think it'll be give and take tbh.

So a 20 second ad and a 5 second ad in a 17 minute video.. which i usually right arrow through these anyway. Not exactly every few minutes is it.
You should watch some Twitch streams.. they're literally insane with ads and you cant even mention an Adblocker in most stream chats lol
Would you actually use the better wraith prism cooler if they included it, or would it just be a bigger lump of metal that you throw in the bin? Both the wraith stealth and wraith prism are rubbish compared to a £15 tower cooler, it's time they got rid of the stock cooler altogether to reduce unnecessary waste.

@LtMatt Is there a 9xxx X3D coming out soon? I am currently on the intel platform but looking to upgrade to the platform whihc purely has the fastest gaming performance. I don't do any productivity kind of work just purely gaming.

Mind you there can be quite a bit of variance with Zen 4 and probably Zen 5 - the Z1 Extreme in my Legion Go gives about 3% higher performance and 10% lower temperatures than average at rated TDP and at mid-level TDP settings i.e. balanced it gives 25% higher performance than the worst chips!
Don't think the X3D versions are expected until Q1 next year.

Buy a cheap 7000 6/8 core chip until they release, or just go Arrow Lake, AMD left it wide open for Intel for the next 5-6 months by the looks of it.

It looks like they will be launched at CES next year along with the B850 boards which sucks big time. I am tempted to say to hell with it and buy a 7800x3d and B650E or X670E board instead.
Are the boards now no longer coming out in September?
