AMD Zen 5 rumours

has there been an official announcement by AMD on the release of the X3D parts or is this educated guess based on previous released? I suppose If intel's arrow lake perform well AMD might be forced to released this year.

SponsorBlock is another good extension.
I'll look at that thanks.

I have SmartTube side loaded on an Amazon FireTV stick, its fantastic, its its own Youtube app, better than the real one and it takes out all the adds, including the embedded ones.

Great for watching Youtube on the TV, which without this, through the normal Youtube app is a nightmare...

i don't even feel guilty about it, because Youtube particularly have gone so over the top with adds it makes anything unwatchable, deliberately so you pay them the ridiculous £20 a month or whatever it is to make it stop, its cynical, its predatory thinking so _____ em! I wouldn't care at all if any of this was reasonable.

:p

9900x looks maybe 20 quid cheaper in the UK from release, while 9950x has possibly even gone up a little. It was £599 here on release? £609 now.

There are several reports of price cuts, were these to the lower spec CPUs?

I saw the other day that the 7800x3d had big price cut in US taking it below equivalent of £300 and also some great bundle deals, so maybe further cuts will happen here, although I suspect not in rip off Britain

^That's what I am waiting for. I saw on Friday that it was reduced to $330 in the US so will give it a couple of weeks to see if anything happens here (probably not as this is the UK plus 9000 series is a damp squib) before upgrading myself to AM5. Dollar to sterling exchange is also the best it's been for a long time right now. I don't see any point in waiting for the 9000x3d cpu's, especially if they are as disappointing as the rest of the series.
