AMD Zen 5 rumours

They will have been "thank god, only 99 left to sell..." !

I never realised quite how big the price jump from ther 9900 to 9950 is.. :/
I hadn't really looked but now I have, it is quite steep. Having said that, if you take MSRP instead of the sale prices for Zen 4, it is a 20 quid increase £160 vs £180

Still can't believe AMD launched zen5 with such a major issue

Yeah I agree, it was a completely abysmal launch. If they'd wanted a few months, all the bugs would have been ironed out and perhaps they could have included the X3D parts in the launch.

Having the new generation CPU actually be faster than the old generation across the board (including in games/cache sensitive apps) seems such a fundamental benchmark on whether it's worth launching a 'new' generation.

4.2% improvement in the Final Fantasy benchmark at 1080P on the 9950X according to the only testing I've seen done so far.

If this turns out an average and added to the 11% Winaymdee gains over Wintel then that 3% might actually turn in to that "17% over Ryzen 7000 series" which i think is a good solid gain.

Benchmarks that I've seen, which shown up with this fix show the performance difference is around 1% on average, so within margin of error. No wonder they could've missed it, as it's seems to be largely meaningless. More data needed to be sure.

Didn’t realize 9700x is that slow. Yikes. X3D or Zen6 is the next hope.
