AMD Zen 5 rumours

Geez, i'm sorry I mentioned him.

I'm sure you all get accurate up to date info straight from the source.
Being a lowly peasant, MLID is the best source of upcoming stuff I have. Accurate enough to assess whether and when I need to upgrade. If someone uses rumors as fuel for hype trains, thats on them.

MLID is alright tbh, there are worse out there and he gets a fair amount of stuff right. He's just one of the most popular so cops the most flak when he gets something wrong.

Will be nice to replace my 9900k it’s a fast CPU no doubt and for the average user is more than enough but pushing 170 fps at 1440p is a bit of a push and holds back my 6800xt at times.. god help me if I go for a 7900xtx for example

Yes that's getting a bit long in the tooth. You need yourself a nice 7800X3D ;)

I normally stick with Intel but I think I’ll give AMD a try and given they’re due out in Q2 will give me a few months to save up for a new build - will be looking at the 8800x and maybe the X3d chip later down the line :)
Yes I went 7600 and will see what the next X3D chip brings.

Videocardz is my rumor dealer of choice.
The Red Gaming Tech (is that the right name? I can't remember now!) is the bloke that I pay attention to.

I reckon Zen 5 will be announced at Computex in June, then we'll have the non-3D CPUs releasing a few months later.

Then the 3D CPUs releasing early next year, after CES.

It's hard to pay attention to redgaming no matter how accurate or inaccurate his claims may be because he single-handedly has the most annoying voice of any tech YouTuber

What are we expecting +10% ? Would like to upgrade my 5800x but I'm happy to wait till zen 5 if its a decent enough upgrade.
The Red Gaming Tech bloke said that it's going to be a BIG IPC increase.
