I remember the first user review of an i7 9xx was done on a stock cooler.

I just remember instances like the H50 from corsair originally not having an AMD mount etc. I think the same was true of some CPU blocks too

Hopefully they'll all be coming with the wraith cooler anyway, which is meant to be a pretty good cooler in its own right. And several high end coolers are going to have brackets available.

By the looks of it most coolers are going to be a case of unscrewing the hook mount things it comes with and using a backplate and the screw holes. So should be relatively simple for manufactures to adapt older coolers to the socket.

I know it's the wrong forum but I'll answer you anyway. It puts it right in the middle of the 1080 and the TXP. That being said, it was on Vulkan which heavily favours AMD cards.

Good to know, though is it that it favours AMD or the fact AMD has a better architecture for modern API's ?
