^^ this is exactly my point, if AMD are going to offer comparable performance for cheaper and with the bonus of more cores only die hard Intel fans won't adopt if they are looking to upgrade.

1600X looks like the sweet spot for the enthusiast, assuming the X suffix means the XFR feature.StarShock;30495785 said:More prices and clocks from reddit

If that one is to be believed, a 4C/8T will be £200 - £250.
Not long now at least!
Certified mad here. Already got the Case, PSU, ODD, SSD, GPU and RAM for my Ryzen buildRelentless81;30495914 said:Is it mad to buy a case and PSU at this stage for a Ryzen build, whats the official release date?

I don't know how to how the Chinese prices work.., but shouldn't the prices be a little more lower if we're comparing prices with the Intel counterparts??
For example, (afaik) The core i3 7350k US street price is 168 USD where in China it's 1399¥
-> So 1¥ = 168/1399 = 0.12$
-> For the i5 7500, 1¥ = 202/1579 = 0.127$
-> For 7600k, 1¥ = 242/1899 = 0.127$
-> For 7700k, 1¥ = 339/2799 = 0.121$
-> For 6850k, 1¥ = 628/4799 = 0.13$
So I think we can take 1¥ = 0.125$ average..
So the Ryzen US prices should be :
-> R3 1100 = 999x0.125 = 125$
-> R3 1200X = 150$
-> R5 1300 = 175$
-> R5 1400X = 200$
-> R5 1500 = 225$
-> R5 1600X = 250$
-> R7 1700 = 325$
-> R7 1700X = 400$
-> R7 1800X = 550$

CAT-THE-FIFTH;30490264 said:I think this is what we are missing on and I kind of hinted at it before - if 4C CPUs with reasonably fast cores are under £150 and 4C/8T CPUs are under £200,it means more and more normal gaming PCs,will have a better CPU.
A lot of games are going to be coded with either consoles in mind or the specs of more mass market PCs in mind,so if any improvements in the specs will help push PC gaming forward as a whole.
£175 Core i3 K series CPUs don't really do that. Its only an excuse to find away to charge more for a lower end SKU.
