I am on the right forum - you need to remember some of us oldies remember why overclocking was a big deal.
Cheap CPUs with huge overclocks matching more expensive CPUs - the problem is overclocking by 10% is fine and dandy but now Intel and AMD has made overclocking a paid for feature.
You want to try some fun - I had a high VID Q6600 in a 975X based Shuttle with a modified Shuttle stock cooler.
That was very interesting overclocking that and keeping it cool in a tiny chassis. Still got 3GHZ~ 3.2GHZ out of it IIRC.
The same goes with graphics card - I remember how much my HD5850 overclocked,from 725MHZ to 950MHZ. You rarely get the same performance boost with many modern graphics cards via overclocking.

In fact the last exciting Intel overclocking CPU was the Core i5 6400 BCLK overclocked due to that bug.
