Did you try updating the mobo bios when you had it plugged in to your TV?

Is there a USB stick in the mobo when booting up?
I managed to get into the bios to update the bios using the tool it started updating then switched itself off and then wouldn't post, I used the flashback and now I get error 61 and no post

Perhaps try clearing the CMOS. Easiest way would be to take the battery out and leave it for a few minutes.

Nothing's working constant no post and error 61, I have taken the battery out now and will leave it overnight, seriously considering giving up now and switching to mac

0d usualy Ram related, but since you have the bios on TV and not on monitor, i think this is a setup of your monitor that you need to change, go to the monitor menu and try changing input, it usualy set to HDMI priority for most, maybe check option in the bios also.
try pressing Tab during Boot, some mobos allow you to switch monitors that way.

It's error 61 now that's the problem, I had to flashback the bios and now when ever I switch it on it hangs on error 61

Battery out for 5 hours and still error 61, looks like the board is going back

Frustrating but at least your chance of getting a good one second time has gone up :) I had a similar issue with my monitor but being picked up and had to resort to plugging in an old monitor which was detected then swapping to the new one. Very odd, installed newer bioses since and never had the issue again.

Just bad luck unfortunately, I know how frustrating it can be!

I always worry about sending things back to overclockers, because a few years ago I has a old p35 board fail so I sent it back RMA and supposedly in transit the cpu plate came off and damaged one of the pins so the rma went up in smoke, so I now worry that if a screw has scratched one of the mounting holes or if the box gets thrown around in transit wether the rma is going to be rejected

My tip is takes pictures before you send it and insure it, a little more hassle and cost but you are then covered and maybe £10 out of pocket rather than £100s. Hope you get it sorted quickly, new kit is great fun but sometimes also quite annoying!

Does your board have a BIOS switch? Mine does, i messed up updating my bios which i don't know how because i did everything by the book it just borked while updating. Would not post, clearing cmos did not work so flipped bios switch and it sort of posted with a message about backup bios being used. It flashed the backupbios to the bad one and bingo flick switch back and works.
