ahh man that would have been a lot easier if it did. Yea only other option is what others have suggested. You have to make a flash drive with the bios. Ive done it before but i ended up requiring another computer to do it and it took a lot longer. Asus have a ultility that makes & prepares the flash drive and u just pop it in your computer and turn it on usually. Not sure if post needs to pass in order for it to work tho.

I have tried the asus flashback procedure which seems to work, I say it seems to work what I mean it's completes its cycle , it now hangs on error 61

Eh no point to waste more time, if you do not have other ram stick to use, pack motherboard and ram and send them back for replacement.

I'm in the same boat, dunno whether to ring ocUK and get them to switch it, or just roll with the 1700X and maybe I'll get a lucky one... who knows, too little info to go on at the moment.
 
Is there a rough idea of when we expecting zen based APUs?

My son is currently using a 3ghz core 2 duo machine with a hd 7750, which kinda does the job for minecraft and roblox etc, but hes going to want a bit more soon, and a zen APU with current AMD graphics tech and ddr4 would be a fantastic upgrade for presumably reasonable money...

Summer time, we going to have the Ryzen APUs with Vega IGP.
 
Count yourself lucky, in Australia the postal service is so bad that the postal contractors sit in their vans pre-delivery writing the can't deliver cards. I have vicious dogs and large trucks blocking my driveway quite frequently even though we are home and hear them drive past, pausing briefly to shove the "pick up at the GPO" card in the mail box.
