I thought HEPT was enabled by default anyway? Maybe I'm misremembering.Another day another potential issue which might have hampered performance at launch:

It's obvious the board manufacturers weren't ready for the launch...
Pancaked...?
Sorry couldn't resist it
I had some disappointment with Ryzen regarding performance in certain lightly threaded games I play, but after I looked over the updates I keep making to the review thread about new issues,it makes me wonder whether its the rushed nature of the launch which is somewhat hampering Ryzen - its like death by a 1000 cuts.
This would only be considered if benchmarking, unless you've misunderstood the post
Not an ideal place for this but everything AMD is now being crammed into a couple threads, more manageable i guess.
------------------
For those looking at high core count server chips.
32 Core 64 Thread or Dual CPU 64 Core 128 Thread @ 2x up-scaling with AMD's Infinity Fabric, SOC Southbridge (No more Chipset), 8 Channel Memory (2x 4), 128 IO Lanes
No more Incrementing, Choo Choo....
Advanced Micro Devices collaborating with Microsoft, integrating Naples processor cloud delivery functionalities with Microsoft's Project Olympus
Edit: Boom could you please change the title to add Naples? people have inquired about it. Thanks
Thanks for the info humbug does look to be a great contender to Intel this...
Now i wonder if this will allow me to have smooth gameplay in minesweeper
So we have
"slabbed"
"Tiled"
"Slated"
and now
"Pancaked"

Never had to recover a BIOS. I update it very infrequently, once when purchased (though I'm waiting for a few revisions on the Crosshair VI) and then once later on when I'm looking for my final overclock.
How are you finding your 1800X?
Looks very nice.Stock BIOS, No overclock, RAM @ 2666MHz as I have 2x16GB sticks. Waiting for a decent revision of the BIOS to get released before i start playing. I'm spending a lot of time looking around the BIOS, reading up and taking notes so when the time comes i'll hit it hard.
Here's a quick snap of the PC as it is:
