And not a single Ryzen processor was seen that day...

Had to smile, as I literally just slotted in my new 1600.

On the Bright side 5 OEMs are going to bring out Ryzen laptops!

In Relation to Toms, I have no idea what games they tested, or how old those games must have been for them to claim the i5 7500 was beating an Overclocked 1500X.

The 1700 @4Ghz is 7-8% behind a 7700K @5Ghz.

They claim the 1500X wasn't included because it also doesn't fit the budget since it needs a "beefy" cooler to be bought separately. Which is rubbish, it comes with the 95W Wraith Spire cooler. Which is good enough to cool a 1700 to 3.9-4.0Ghz.

Broken link or has the video been removed?

Looks like the video is private at the moment. Hopefully he'll get it back up soon.

GameGPU got these results.

Removed - he was getting accused of rrunning the ryzen at different settings. He denied it, said they were the same. One comment posted this:

That's interesting, as I saw a thread about the NVIDIA cards not running proper lighting apparently. :/

To be fair shadows are missing in those caps, but because its taken down we can't be sure, hopefully it will be back up soon.

Yup, caused a bit of an outroar when it happened in Ashes when AMD was showcasing Polaris, and everyone thought AMD was purposely running NVIDIA on different settings. Turns out the drivers weren't correctly rendering the shadows.

Seems to be the case here as well; and the game has a day night cycle as well; so shadows are on different spots depending on in-game time.

So might make it a bit hard to pin-point any issues.

Well the gist of the video was Ryzen 8 core beats an i7 6800K, in minimums, and averages.

Similar to the GameGPU graph posted on the previous video.

Wish more places would test both processor lines, and GPU ones, mixing between them. You can find some interesting combos for performance.

Like when Anandtech found the RX 480 on Ryzen is 50% faster in Rocket League than with the GTX 1060.
Or the Fury X matching the GTX 1080 in Civ 6 when on Ryzen as well.
