Im getting really peeved with the potions in my inventory, i have quite a lot and they are all in different places, is there a mod or something that will allow me to organise it so the health potions, damage potions etc are more easil accesiable?

I have hundreds of potions I keep at my home, and just carry sorcery/health potions now, I doubt I'll ever use the potions at my house, same goes for scrolls.

However, sorry I don't know of a mod that does that. If no-one here knows of it you should visit the TES Oblivion Mods forum.

Just hotkey them.

Hold down a number from 1-8, then select the item in the inventory.
Press aforementioned button, and voila, instant hammerage!

Question is there someplace that i can learn how to use the construction kit for oblivion (1st time user) just want to change the colour of the glass armour as not that found of its current state.

Struggling to find clear instructions on how to install mods. I extracted a colour map one into my Data folder. Nothing showed up in the Data Files menu when loading and the map doesn't look any different.

IIRC, there were 2 versions of the coloured map mod... One was a umod the other was a zip version.

I had the same problem when I tried it because I downloaded the umod, think you need some other program to use that. Just download the zip version and it should work fine

I'm struggling too - I've got an .esp file which I copied to the data file. It then showed up in the data files, which I enabled, and appearred in the oblivion data file gui, but the game just hangs when loading with the mod enabled. Don't get it :confused:

I wish life was that simple. As always in RPGs a magic users life is rarely so simple. I've used up all my hotkey sets with my regular combat spells. I have no slots free for useful stuff like weapons, blacksmith hammers, alchemy kits or suchlike

Its not my computer, its my 13 year olds nephew's. The prozzer is an unlocked one, but its upto him if he wants to overclock the cpu, I don't think he's into that (not very technical) as he just likes playing the games.

not many folk do such but you can make a full copy of the data folder named 'Data2' and in 'My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini', change 'SLocalMasterPath=Data\' to 'SLocalMasterPath=Data2\'. then you can work from a new root to protect the install.
