An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

At 18, you get to spawn minotaur lords and goblin warlords that have grand souls. If you completed arena, you can fight minotaur lords in those exhibition matches after you about level 18.

Possible spoiler so please highlight to read:If you get the Azura's star from the Azura shrine quest (you get a map pointer for the azura shrine in the main quest), you get one that has 2500 charge, and is reusable! I carry that around with me all the time. It's great!

Where is Azura's shrine then?

I think it's perfectly normal, as I had it too.
It freaked me out the first time, I just stood there, scared to hit them, in case the guards attacked me :(

It's stopped happening now though.

Yeah I had that too. Someone was walking in the street, I walked past them, they turned around and started smacking me. Arrow to the face sorted her out good and proper.

Then the guard came along and looted her body

I had that, during a certain quest involving those damn ghost-things that drain your strength, causing you to get encumbered. I was fighting them in the city (led them out, one by one, easier to cope with), and every single one I killed got looted by the guard before I could get to it!

No ectoplasm for me :(
Nothing that a bit of pickpocketing can't cure, however :D

Here's a q, I just got a nice shield from a quest, but I am light armour specced and it is heavy.

Is there a downside to me using it when everything else is light?

I'm going for a very balanced character, arrows and magic with swordplay if needed

currently level 2, finished 8 quests, gonna close the first gate soon I think :)

Aye, was the same in Morrowind. It seems all the Daedric shrines have the same rewards they did in Morrowind... I just want to find Boethiah's shrine

Hmmm, I want to take some screenshots of some cool gear I have found, but it doesn't want to work.

I changed the setting in the ini file to 1, and it worked fine last time I tried, but for some reason, it hasn't been taking screenshots today. I'm right in thinking the print screen button is the one too use? I am pretty sure that is the one I used before, but my memory may be playing around with me! If that is the button, then does anyone have any ideas?

I'm just doing a thieves guild quest to get back a stolen ring for someone.... The trouble is i have got the ring but it has not registered in the quest at all....Its as if i have stolen it and now cannot progress, of i speak to the woman i am supposed to give it to, i have no option to say that i have it, i havent got an older save either.....Any ideas? Bit of a bug im guessing!!!

You got AA on? I don't think screen capture works with AA on.

Aha! I was thinking to myself, hmm, perhaps it's because I put AA onto 2x for a bit more eye candy, but then again I'm sure I've seen people take screenshots with it on, so I dismissed the idea! I'll go try it now, thanks. :p

Edit: Lo and behold, it works! Thanks again. :) Pictures coming soon.

You could just use fraps?

Good point, I haven't got round to getting that since my last re-install, will try and get it for the future though, much better for taking screenshots.

Anywhoo, picture time! As talked about before, the estucheon of chorrol is a very nice shield, but being a light armour wearer like me, it's pretty useless. Instead I use this glass shield I found which was already enchanted to shield me, pictures below (one is widescreen shape because I had to cut a part of the top due to the game taking a screenshot including the top part of my desktop/browser).

Shield Screenshot 1 (Weird Shape)

Shield Screenshot 2

And lastly, I thought I'd include for the fun of it, a VERY nice amulet that dropped for me when inside an oblivion gate, shame I don't use blunt weapons, but the reflect damage is good enough for me!

Hmmm.. I've been a vampired, been cured, and yet still managed to get the Disease again. Whilst this time I was watching out for it, and cured it before it took root, I'm wondering if that means I could get turned into a vampire again? Would I have to go through all the same hassles to get a second cure?

Ahh garp maybe you could help me then, where can i buy/steal 5 grand soul gems they need to be empty, thought i best do it casue now the screnn is very bright when im outside. Buggering sneak vampire got me while i was sleeping so had no chance of getting to a chapel.

Vampirism, as far as I'm aware, is just like any other disease (in the first stage) - just drink a cure disease potion, cast a cure disease spell or eat a cure disease foodstuff and it should be gone. You're cured, but not immune. I've had it a few times through fighting with them, but fixed myself up straight after. Simply carry at least one potion around before taking on any vampires.

Was impressed with Hackdirt today, if anyone else has passed through. Cleverly done - there's just something not quite right when you look at the people there... Hicksville, Oblivion style.

Like i said augement, didnt even have a chance yo get to a chapel in the 1st stage casue i was sleeping in a bed when a vamp came in and gave me a bad hicky, instant vampirism.
Err, you sure you didn't have Porphyric Hemophilia to begin with? It's not easy to notice...
