An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

I've downloaded two of them (didn't think the horse armour was worth it) and didn't have any problems, but it does seem there are problems. 64bit machines will not be able to install them full stop, and others are having issues too.

it took me about 20mins to get the cure for vampirism, it really wasn't that hard, I had most things for it sitting in chests about the place though. I can't remember all that was needed but the thing I actually had to look for was Garlic. Which if I remember correctly can be found in the basement of the skingrad house if you bought that and all the upgrades :)

Garlic can be found at the very fist temple/ruin across the water you see after exiting the sewers hanging from a tent, or is that something else

Was that the cure for the disease that gives you vampirism, or vampirism itself? They are two different things :)

Um, I might have killed the marksman master trainer a little while ago and then joined the darkbrotherhood for my efforts, and now I need one. Is there only one master trainer per skills? If so, what's the console command to restore her? It won't confuse the game by restoring her, considering killing her allowed entry into the DB?

Curing Porphyric Hemophilia is dead simple... just go to a shrine, no garlic involved there...

Cure for Vampirism. It maybe was because I was High level already though. And I don't sell any of my loot so most of what I needed was just sitting in chests in my houses and Weynon Priory.

Grand Soul gems really aren't hard to come across when you get to high level, they're in all the mages guilds, maybe you gotta steal them from display cases, but they're still there.

Bloodgrass is easy, any oblivion portal will have a couple inside.

Nightshade's not that hard to come across, I tend to pick any plant I see when I'm running around the countryside - good for alchemy skill which is good for money too when you sell all your homebrews. EDIT: I think I actually just found 1 of these and put it in the chest in Arch Mage's Quarters - Only works if you're archmage.

Argonian Blood - just stab a random argonian, yield, then pay 40g to a guard.

Vampire Ashes - as above, he's not that tough at all - slash, slash, dead.

The cure is easy you can take potion of disease or visit a shrine with the fact u gotta do that within the 1st 3-4 days of becoming a vampire...

So most arent aware till its too late ;)

Theres no way im gonna do that vamp quest to look for 5 stones or reload a previous save before being a vamp cos thats like going back 90% of the game ive played, suppose anyone can cheat and go back on 1-2 weeks worth of gameplay and then redo the lot again? I dont think so... Amen to that Vamp cure-Instore mod or that cheat ;)

Thats the only one ill permit myself to do though....

I stole my I bought two grand souls gems and stole the other three
That Nightshade plant things look like a water lilly with a purple flower on top and there's loads of them to be picked in the Imperial City market district. As for the garlics that was easy as I store all plants and food I find over time in my house in the waterdeep distict of the Imperial City. The vampire dust was so easy to get as I'd fought and beat many foes harder than that vampire. The last thing I needed was bloodgrass and I got that from the first oblivion gate that opened. Yay I human and weak again. :D

Yeah its a bit bad when you become a Vampire especially early on in the game.

I became a Vampire at level seven.

ditto great game just remember if u get anything that says poly you gotta visit chapel str8 away.... that way game aint ruined.

Ive sorta gone for the main quest, if I was unemployed/student(bum) I proberly woulda done all the quest and joined every guild possible before the main quest....

Agreed, but MW seemed more immersive to me, not sure why though, too long since i last played it.

I've clocked in around 65 hours now (about 95 hours if you include restarts) and unfortunately, it's starting to bore a little.

i THINK i completed the game earlier today, not sure though lol. If i did, i expected the cutscene to be a bit longer!

I work full time and play this game fine, usually ~2 hours in the evening.

I wanted to start the main quest but keep getting dragged into other quests and after 23 hours of gameplay still have to deliver the amulet :o

Are there only disadvantages to being a vampire?

I ask this as I was offered by someone to be voluntary bitten in the neck to become a vampire

You need to have a read through some FAQs with all your questions Dutch Guy :p

The longer you go without feeding, the more stat boosts and stuff you get, like night vision.

You will become more and more susectible to damage from sunlight though, and if you looking too vampy, people wont talk to you.
