An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Looks like I'm forced to cheat and use the console, for the first time in this game. Thanks btw for the find.
I'd hardly call it a cheat, you are forced to do it that way, and apart from a slight alteration in the current quest very little is changed.

it's not exactly cheating when fixing it so you can play past a bug that has you stuck in what is a non interactive scene.. so what if you brought the console down, clicked on Loche and typed 'kill' (which i suspect will move the scene along, 'freeing' you up to be able to fight the orc. the bug reported in the wiki link is after you kill the orc).

anyone know how to move onto the next stage in the "indipendant theivery" line?
I've fenced over 5k loot now and its not giving me the next bit

what was the last TG quest you did?

edit: infact a better question would be, what was the last "Independent Thievery" stage you completed.. i.e 400 gold or 700 gold ect.

lol edit2: actualy first question is the most valid, now looking at the mission script :o

springheel jack, did that, already HAD 2k gold looted and now its saying that I need to get to 1k gold, but I've got that already!
its the only quest line I've not done!

after the boots quest, with greater than 800 fenced..

SetStage TGStolenGoods 105

:)

edit: scub my edit: i was right the first time (where's my brain today :o). if you have to get 1000 gold next then 105 it is.

edit2: thinking about it, better not scrub it as i'm for sure not fully with it today (pain killers i suspect, they are serious jobbies) if 105 fails it'll be 115. sorry for any confusion.

True, but I believe it's flawed if I have to bring the console up. Guess they couldn't test everything prior to release.

To those struggling with continuing the TG quests - just wait where you are for 12ish hours and you'll be visited. The guy then leaves Imperial City and finds you - if you move after he's left, he'll go to where you were and return to Imperial City, and then begin again to where you are when he's got back to Imperial City.

God i hoipe someone is about to answer this and am not stuck all night:

Am stuck in the cult cave (4 books, stolen ammy etc)

I cant get out.

I've gone the long way round killed everything and i've got what looks like two options to get out, move a boulder (rock wall) or go through the door i came in, but i need a key which i dont have.

I'vbe searched every body, and have now run out of torches as a result, and spend 10 mins trying to walk from one area to the next.

Please help me!!!

now the quests dissapered!

My character's just a walking tank really, can sit there taking damage for ages and not have to worry about dying :p

Also almost got master in alchemy and armourer so I'm never short of potions and can get extra damage and protection out of weapons and armour :)

So what kind of character are you guys making I'm going for a Jack of all trades master of everything. :D
I thought that I wanted a swordsman, but after starting the game thought that bows were also cool but unfortunately did too little with a bow so now a bow is underpowered compared to a sword so usually I use sneak and whack them with my Umbra and use a dwarven bow for smaller enemies like rats.

I haven't done alchemy at all, only restoration :o

I've got 2 now.
A lvl 22 evil vampiric sneaky archer/assassin
A lvl 6 good gladiator battlemage

Both have totally different styles of play, and interaction with NPC's.

I have an uber jack of all trades that is at level 5, wood elf, custom class, horrendously overpowered, no enemy makes me flinch.

Breezed through the arena bit with ridiculous ease, and at the moment, none of my stats are below 45.

Kinda boring to play though, so I started a pure mage high elf on Monday, enjoying it so far :)
