An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

Sadly, I've become bored with the game, and I've only closed one oblivion gate :(

Just became too much of the same I felt.

Started playing HOMM5 over the weekend though, which is lush, Loved 2 and 3, hated 4, but this is back to how it should be :D

TBH, dont read a thread 103 pages long if you want to avoid spoilers

What are we supposed to talk about for that long? How nice the box is?

Still playing it here, probably at about 200 hours+ now, and erm, still not done the main quest fully, got a few side ones still to do! :D

Im actually avoiding the main quest untill i do all the other stuff, im using a mod which makes the game way more difficult, makes dungeon traps insta kill and makes nights and dungeons darker, also uses a seperate formula for hp gain, you get more hps earlier on but less once you progress and gain levels etc, it also makes u easier to spot when sneaking etc, really cool, cant for the life of me remember the name of it...hmm overloads or overlords mod pack?

regards,

You are free to talk about what you want but the decent thing to do is to give people a warning in your post you are going to talk about stuff they possibly haven't done yet, so either say 'spoiler alert' and hit the enter key a few times and post or use blue as your colour.

Accidently did something I wasn't sure was possible - I killed the DB visitor! With the help of my fighter's guild guildmates :p

Was very funny, as i didn't want to join the DB anyway - being good and all. Got the sneaky armour of him too.

Nearly completed the FG, MG and Arena. Then to continue with the MQ.

I am glad I did the DB as there are some good quests and storyline in it.

[edit]How come if you are good you got a visit from the DB ;) [/edit]

My evil vampire completed the DB storyline ;)

No idea why I was visited, was just doing a FG quest, had a brief kip on returning to the FG, and low and behold, he appearred...briefly! Had to escort some lady down a cave, who survived. 55 Fame, 0 Infamy aswell.

DIE EVIL BEINGS!!!

*possible spoiler, not much in it tho*

I got made a vampire by accident, and i went to full vampirism cze i didn have a clue about curing etc, then no one talked to me and stuff and it was totally lame, i hated it!! Finally found out you can get it cured but the quest is VERY long and hard. The annoying thing is im proficient in heavy armour and the extra 100 strenght for the vampire owned for looting all those extra shinys to sell. Once i got turned back tho man......ive always got weight problems!!! Think im about 250 hours into the game and theres still loads of fun to be played :)

DE Archer/Caster is my class, deity is mara

Really though, what are you doing (not you, in general) looking at a 103 page thread about one game, which will be talking about peoples experiences about the game, if you don't want to be spoiled?

Anything you say is potentially a spoiler, and you must be here to be spoiled, simple as.

What on earth would you be here for otherwise?

I get in the early days in this thread when the game wasn't released and people were anticipating it, but not many are just buying the game now (i only got it 2 weeks ago and theres nothing spoiling in this thread) and therefore should use common sense that there will be things talked about in here that they may have not done, its very logical, very logical.

People look at this thread to see what optimising tips they can use, what performance they can expect with their setup, what bugs there are, if there is a patch and to see what outcome different quest options have that they haven't tried and don't forget the mods.

Which more than likey would be found in the start of the thread.

I aint seen anyone go on about that for a while, most of its in game stuff (about the game) now.

The DB rewards are by far the best. As for the visit, as any NPC will (randomly) tell you: just commit a murder, then sleep (this is NOT a spoiler!). Note that the murder need not be witnessed, but you will get a message when they die, even if the message makes little sense (the message probably IS a spoiler).

There are two murders I am aware of that will not boost your infamy.

I'm having a strange problem when ever I go to a chaple to restore my stats I get "repent your crimes" and I have 0 bounty and 0 infamy. What am I to do?

dono whats causing it but restore postions and cure spells should be able to do the same job, just it takes a bit more effort to get/make the right potions for the damaged attributes.

I did fix my problem with potions but guess what I had 0 bounty in my character stats but when I went to the prison distict to talk to the jailer to figure whats going on I found I had a bounty of 1 gold. lol :D
