Finally got it to start downloading. Used a US proxy that was painfully slow but the dowload manager seems to be doing ok, should have it when i get up in the morning (like i'm going to have a good sleep!!!)

Wouldnt the game all ready have it and you just install when installing the game????????????

Also one more thing to note for those downloading the game. You need to have Winzip 9 or higher in order to open up the downloaded Zip file since it is more than 2GB. I think some of the other Zip programs like ZipGenius will also work.

it should i'd have thought but a few folk have been reporting problems with a missing dll that is found in the latest dx package.. so just to be safe rather than sorry.

Dont forget though any patches or mods have to be D2D compatible (IIR).

From what i've read, most if not all mods should be okay but the patches will have to be special D2D versions. Apparently they come out pretty much at the same time as the regular patches so it shouldn't be an issue. But don't hold me to that.

Anyone had a browse of the construction set wiki yet ?

It has a tutorial for building a dungeon, never made any mods before but sounds like it could be fun.
