Thats twice now that the game has crashed with me, no idea whats wrong with it, damm annoying

I've just applied 16xAF (High quality enabled also) and it does indeed look quite a bit better. My FPS also appears to be unaffected.

Definitely. As do Daedric weapons.

I'm not sure about the bow's not working. Perhaps it needs to be silver as well as the arrows?

It's crashing disturbingly regularly for me now. About once every hour or two on average. I hope a patch or something else fixes it because it's really starting to spoil my enjoyment of the game.

Are you getting a lockup or a Send report/Don't send error report?

Mine seems to crash every other time I quit the game so it's not that annoying but it doesn't look professional.

I also get this.

Thankfully after about 24 hours of gameplay, not had a single in-game crash yet.

It alternates between a CTD with a send report option or one of those Windows XP BSOD and a restart required. These will tend to happen when I try to change area or sometimes when I exit the game (although this is less of a problem).

There's also a nasty tendency for it to lockup, apparently at random, just when I'm mincing around in the open. The game then needs exiting.

Frequent quick saves are keeping me going, but it does break the immersion factor somewhat.

Yup when I leave the game from outside a city I get that, but ingame it seems rock stable

I'm crashing more often now I'm in the Oblivion plane

Almost cleared it but can't seem to do the last fight without crashing :mad:

Ive got it on xbox and it crashes every hour at least...i was just coming over the brow of a hill and saw a oblivion gate then it crashes

Mine crashes evertime i press quit, it says send error report? So im happy. Sometimes ive had "garbage" on the main game but thats only happened when i jump and mount a horse

I got my first glass dagger. I want a glass sword!!

If people are getting the same crashes as I got, something to do with mpeg2dmx.ax. Just rename that file *.old and it works, I've not had a crash since. There is a forum sticky on the main elderscrolls website that has a lot of common fixes, that's where i gt this fix from.

I've killed a few ghosts with my crappy flares - it takes about 10 mins, but they do die eventually.

I read about that but had no idea where to look for the file and a search didn't turn it up. Where is it supposed to be?

Silver Weapons
Deadric Weapons
Magic Weapons (Don't have to be charged up)

Recharge your special weapons at a Mages Guild, or use your own Soul Gems, as long as they contain a soul.

Anybody else get a Unicorn yet?

If you havent got it on your system, then that's fine, as it must be some other problem.

10 hours in + really enjoying this. Only game in 3 years to keep my attention+keep me away from multiplayer RTS.

Although the NPC system is flawed(understandably so), its enough to keep the world immersive. Only had one crash so far and generally running great on athlonx2 4000, x1900xt with 2gb at 1600x1200 hdr on.

Wish those pirates would stop singing in my face though

I keep getting my arse kicked as a mage, Ive got some elvin armour, a 60pt shield spell and a nice sword/spells. But still my arse gets handed to me. gahh I cant explore anywhere
