LOL, and i thought i was slow only having completed like 12 quests, and being grand champion (level 12 too) :p

But seriously, i think you and I should start doing quests soon ;)
 
got some nice armour from the dark brotherhood last night, now if i get myself a half decent weapon i might be able to kill something in the arena, feels abit strange being lvl5 with almost no fighting ability...damn sneek leveling me up :mad:
 
Anyone find it funny also that Sean Beans char is strongly associated with the Blades? (Football Sheffield United = Blades) :)
 
Can someone tell me if thier Oblivion install has texture and sound folders in the data folder? I'm asking because I have the Direct2Drive version and am trying to work out the differences, I just have compressed texture etc files in my data folder.

Sorry, i meant i just done the purification one, i realised after i shut my computer off that it isnt actually the last one.

I get this quite frequently as well... Oblivion seems horribly unstable... hope they patch it.
 
Yeah I've had a fair few crashes with it, more than in other games although I've probably spent more time in Obliv :D It is an improvement over Morrowind though that game CTD sooo much.

Anyone got an answer to my post above??
 
Besides it crashing when i quit, or when i alt+tab out (which is says in the readme file, it is not advised) then I've only had 1 or 2 crashes and i've played for over 24 hours. My computer isn't even 100% prime stable :p
 
In regards to glass being the second best armour/weapons after Daedric...

It in fact looks like Ebony is the second best going by the attack stats for the better longswords - Dwarven 16, Elven 18, Glass 20, Ebony 22, Daedric 24.

And here's me in full ebony regailia (It's next years brown you know ;)) :


It's staged just so you can see what it looks like. I'll be throwing it all in the local pond after this as I'm actually a level 16 assassin/thief. It also looks a fair bit better in bmp/png format but imageshack wouldn't take anything over 2meg in size sadly so it's just a jpg. Settings are 1280x1024, 4xAF, 16xAA.

I've completed the arena and dark brotherhood quests amongst the more memorable ones. I'm now off to find what the hell I did with that nice horse I was given and then may start the main quest if nothing else takes my fancy...any recommendations welcome.

Mine was crashing occasionally, mix of hard locks and blue screen/restart and also when quitting the game, went back to 1024 resolution and its stopped, not even getting the crach when exiting. My mate upped his resolution to 1280 and had the crash on exit a couple of times last night.

I've played over 25 hours now too and only had 1 crash ingame. Although I do get the crashing when exiting issue.

Hmm..I'm on 1280x1024 and it crashes only when I exit the game, say 75% of the time.
