An Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thead

LOL, and i thought i was slow only having completed like 12 quests, and being grand champion (level 12 too) :p

But seriously, i think you and I should start doing quests soon ;)

Dont be stupid too many dungeons to explore and old forts to clear out to do any quests :p

Where do i find ninroot (sp, yes i know.) :(

Got 5 atm, been to the pool the guy told me too, and found a random one by anvil, have no idea where to look. Just by waters edge?

Am I the only one that's starting to find the game a little boring?

Underneath all the fancy dialogue it's nothing more than monotonous MMORPG style quests. Go here, kill this person. Go to this place, collect 10 of these.

With an MMO there's a sense of community, there's competition between other players and guilds. With Oblivion there's none of that. I'm struggling to find any motivation to complete these quests or continue further.

Is there by any chance a FAQ for all the classes? I am a Knight currently, but want to know skills the other classes get like a battle mage and a theif. Would interesting if i decide to create another character when im done with this guy.

In regards to glass being the second best armour/weapons after Daedric...

It in fact looks like Ebony is the second best going by the attack stats for the better longswords
ah yes, sorry my bad :( i forgot about Ebony... although i didn't say glass was the second best longsword... i later corrected myself because there is also the Goldbrand and the Umbra swords :)

best place to find nirnroot is of course by the waters edge, so look for places it will naturally grow... go to towns near water, or ones built predominantly around/on water.

try the city of Bravil, its the second southern most city (north of Leyawiin). inside the city walls i managed to find about 6. outside i think i found 2 more... i found one in a pot in somebodies house (total of 9) and i'd already found 3 before hand taking my total to 12 :)

As per whoever mentioned this earlier, cheers for not keeping all this in the ** spoilers ** thread. Some of us want to remain clean until we get to play it. :(

best thing i can suggest is to this (some people may not want to know)

press ` to bring up the console
type
showclassmenu
press enter and the Class Menu will pop up, allowing you to freely look at all of the classes and what skills they give and are governed by.

I did a dungeon just now, sneaked all the way through, thought sod this and decided to run all the way in and get what i need and run all the way out killing nothing, but now i cant time warp or location warp due to enemies following me! And they're miles away!

Just joined the fighter guild, picklocked the locks on two cabinets and have got myself these two beauties :D

got the game today, i cannot alt-tab the game without it crashing
its a hit and miss problem with some people
if the menu (escape button) is up it seems to die.

i find if you press the console key (`) then do alt+tab it works

A random name, what town is that your in to get those?
Only stuff i've seen in the Fighters Guilds display cases are replicas or garbage weapons... what level are you, how long you been playing etc?

gonna go out and get this game now, what kinda settings can I run it on with this system

Athlon XP 3200
1gig 2-2-2-6 DDR 400 ram
