Antec Mini P180 *Rebuild*

Now i've nowhere to mount the hdd's, i'm planning on building a bracket as per:

There'll be holes so the airflow is not interupted, and it'll allow me to mount my 2 hdd's happily.

Honest, i'll get some pics up tomorrow :)

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I can't believe they are still using the same hinge as the P180 on the front door. I've broken two :(

seriously? I've accidentally kicked mine pretty hard a few times and it's still as solid as a rock!

In other news, I'm applying some serious sound reducing techniques to this badboy! Acoustipacks work incredibly well!

heheh, i just padded my case with some Acoustipack material! quite good i say! that along with how padded the case is originally i'm quite happy. just bought some fans. a mixture of noctuas for high pressure cooling and some nexus for case fans.

anyone know if there are any aftermarket coolers proposed for the 4870x2? its a pain in the bum to cool and keep quiet. even the 8.10 drivers dont do much to control fan well!

so an idea. how does a small water loop around the GPU only sound? with a little mod even the RAD needn't be that large.

Is it really that loud? my 8800gts is very very quiet...i guess you could do a small gpu water loop, would have to mount the rad on the bottom front 120mm fan or something, as for the pump... its going to be tight :p

Hey guys im new to the forums and im thinking of doing a fairly similar build to this
accept with a DFI JR 790GX-M2RS
and a PII 940.

Conan257 what temps are you get with your setup?

Thanks

Update: doing some major cable management, getting a few little bits from ocuk, cable to convert the 200mm for use with my fan controller, Scythe Quiet Drive 3.5" Internal HDD Silencer so i can mount the hdd in the bottom, a new cpu cooler. Im then going to mount a spare sharkoon silent eagle 2000 in the top intake (because i will remove the hdd cage).

This will mean i will have on 2 intake fans on the front, one to the cpu and one to the cpu, and also have a quieter if not silent hard drive :D

Ordered last night at midnight, already been dispatched :p

Got "carded" today by dhl and i was there...just arranged a redelivery for tomorrow.

Got these to come:
Scythe Quiet Drive 3.5" Internal HDD Silencer
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775)
Akasa AK-CB423-ADPT 4 - 3pin adapter cable

And a intel e6600 ready from my old job, should give me a bit more grunt for my system. Granted it works as i havent tested it on my pc yet.

EDIT: cleaned out dust filter on the intake fan i have at the moment. First time cleaning and its done a good job stopping dust into the case. I would say just as good as the 300 but you dont even have to open up the case to do so :p

Disaster, this Scythe Quiet Drive 3.5" Internal HDD Silencer simply wont fit into the case, it is just too long. I expected it to be about the size of a dvd drive but it is more like 7 or 8 inches long. Kindly OCUK said i could return it to them for a refund (thanks ocuk - your the best). :o

Be warned

Other than that, here is the so called cable management i tried to do. My idea originally would be to route the 24pin/4pin connector behind the graphics card through the little gap but this was bit of a far cry. Any ideas on how i could do it better i would be most grateful. ;)

E6600 + arctic cooling freezer pro 7 are working perfectly. :D

Doing a few loops of 3dmark06 on my new e6600:

Later on that day, i was pretty much finished:
