The US does not benefit from letting Israel get away with murder.

What? You mean the US doesn't get billions of dollars from weapons sold to them? Thousands are employed in the arms trade, who'd pay their benefits? What about the Israeli assassination of terrorists who probably want to attack the West? You mean benefits like that?

WHY do those terrorists want to attack the west?! It's a vicious circle.

And ask those killed in the twin towers if a few billion dollars of arms justified their deaths.

Look at the bigger picture and the US does not need a friend like Israel.

And that's another thing, as the US sold so much to Iraq surely they know what Iraq has in it's arsenal? Just like the other 51+ countries that sold weapons/chemicals to Iraq/Iran during the conflict.

Most of Iraq's stuff came from France, Russia and Germany.

Most, not all, b4 someone says "yes but we sold em a bit".

But yeah, we know wot they sold them.

Educate me on the U.S. selling nukes ( I assume that's what you mean) to Israel. I ask not to have a go but because there is a gap in my knowledge.
lol, that was the French too. They built reactors for Israel, BIG reactors. Israel disguised them and lied to the US when quizzed about spy shots. I suspect when the US found out they were cooking nukes they saw it as a new market for their own tasty weapons rather than a country to mess with.

Genuine question as i dont know, but has Isreal used it womd??

As far as the international community knows, they haven't nuked, gassed or biologically attacked thousands of people.

Maybe it's because they are a democracy that some countries feel that they can be trusted to act sensibly with their smaller WOMD arsenal than some other countries who have apparently already gassed thousands.

You're forgetting the chemical weapons the US and UK sold him.. remember Rumsfeld?

Ok its a bit late to start protesting, cause it aint going to stop for YOU.
WTF dont you guys get off your high horses and support the people who are risking there lives out in Iraq.
Then when it is all finished make your bitchings heard. Last thing the soldiers want to see is no public support from home.
Let them do their job, then make your voice heard when they are finished.

erm, have you even read this thread at all?

I wrote this earlier.......in THIS Thread!
not at all, just because we don't agree with Balir and Bush, doesn't mean that we can't hope our soldiers come back ok. we may not agree with what they are doing, but this is a democracy, which measn that we are entitles to an opion, and the army do whatever the government tells them, regardless of their personal position on this issue.

to disagree is not to be unpatriotic...otherwise why do we keep voting in different parties to govern our country-because we agree with them and don;t agree with the others.....but if a tory government is voted out of office, does that mean that those popel that voted them out are unpatriotic?!

lol, aye.

He was wrong about saying Saddam had no weapons either. Scuds anyone?

Shows how closely you've been following this. Scuds are not 'weapons of mass destruction' and though a few have I think been destroyed, it was well known Iraq had a few of these.

Why don't you get off your high horse and wonder why British troops have been sent to kill and be killed for an unecessary and illegal war. Why do people think anti war means anti british???

jeez.

Aah but it's their attempts to modify the scuds for more range and to carry bio/chemical weapons causing a stir is it not?

Yep it's the one's they attempted to modify to carry chemical warfare agents and make them longer ranged. Iraq has been developing weapons that break the mandate, you just have to look at the remote-controlled plane for that one.
