The Good News: the 7800 XT is only $50 than the 7700 XT.
The Bad News: the 7700 XT is $450 for a 6700 XT replacement with the same amount of VRAM and pretty similar power consumption.

The 4070 has had time to settle in price but even at an MSRP of $600 vs $500, I suspect Nvidia would vastly outsell AMD as usually. Being months late doesn't help.
Disagree. Nvidia potentially may outsell AMD simply because of sheeple.

I expect they are also banking on it having Starfield Premium Edition which is $100 in the US.

Probably once the promo is over,we might see the usual AMD price reductions.

At work, donlt have to time check anything myself. Sorry?

Quick Qestion:

7800XT worth it over 6800XT or not?

:)
Probably very close the 6800 XT or maybe a bit closer to the 6900 XT (not the overclocked-edition aka 6950XT) with power more like the plain 6800. Not great but really 6800 XT prices would have to be to be lowered I think.

As things stand currently, both being very close in price and the 7800XT supposedly having a 10% lead on the 6800XT, then yes. Whether that holds true on release, once third party reviews are in and possible adjustments to 6800XT prices, is something we'll have to wait and see.

"The principles are similar to DLSS 3, but the execution is obviously different as unlike the Nvidia solution, there are no AI or bespoke hardware components in the mix."

So no AI used from RDNA3, damn. Not happy with that tbh.

I do wonder whether we will be getting a later update which does. Otherwise I do wonder why AMD enhanced machine learning aspects of the RDNA3 design?
