Anyone have a Hot Tub?

I have a Hotspring, very high quality. The freshwater salt system means you can get up to 12 months before changing water.

Check if you have a Hotsprings dealer near you.

Salt water a feature unique to hot springs hot tubs? I assume a 5-6 seater top of line model is priced similar to Jacuzzi in 10-15k range or are the salt water models less or more money please?

I'm not sure it it's unique to Hotspring. I have the the Aria and it's 5 person, cost £13k. The Moto message jet is unique to Hotspring and one of the reasons we went for a model with it.

Yep, there are jets for the shoulders in the lounge seat so you're fully under.

Thanks another one to add to the list of potentials just gonna see who gives us best deal out of brands, Sundance want 16k but so far knocked a grand off and reckon they’d drop to 14k to secure sale.

Gonna see how Jacuzzi compares and see how I like them tomorrow and shall seE what deals they can offer.

Hi guys.. just doing some research on hot tubs. Looking at all makes between 5 to 7k
Looking at the platinum spas as they seem good value but concerned about longevity of these tubs. Pretty handy at diy, so adding additional insulation not an issue. Are you guys happy with your tubs with no concerns? what has your running costs settled down now you have had your tubs for a little while.
Any feedback would be grateful thanks

Look at a few Jacuzzi models today and feel it’s a choice between the 375 and 435 but leaning towards the 375 as larger and it has head massaging pillows which is a nice feature. :)

I wouldn't drop any money on a hot tub before trying out a Hotsprings. You should be able to arrange a private session to try some out. The lounge seat with the Moto massage sold it for me.

Try some out, but i'd be looking online to get the best deal, the dealer / garden center a stones throw from my house and i suspect the one you have been to service is average at best.

Have you considered a swim spa instead? It is the next logical upgrade i will be taking.

With hot tubs it is easy to get caught with a particular dealer trying the pedal his product, at the end of the day you need to sit down and understand the fundamentals of what makes a good product, and a large part of that is a quality control and filter system including branded pumps.

Also you will need something like a 24 - 32amp feed installing outside and a quality solid base.

Yeah got a 3x3m base and power shall get sorted as our neighbour is a builder / electrician.

Which garden centre is it your opposite and recommend and what brand do they sell?

Will do some wet testing once lockdown is eased more.

We placed an order for a Vita Spa Prestige a few weeks ago. We looked at Jacuzzi and Hotsprings but I was put off with the price of Hotsprings they didn't look like very good value which narrowed it down to Vita and Jacuzzi for us. Jacuzzi don't seem to have very good after sales with many people waiting weeks and months for spare parts and the reviews of Vita spas come out very positive with spares readily available, good warranty and well specified.

Had someone round from Happy Hottubs this morning to give us an idea.
As they are made in California, the lead time is quite long due to shipping and the factory only just having gone back. just have to make the decision on which one we want now.

We've had an inflatable for 3 years as I wanted to see if it got enough use to justify a proper one (it did) although I think a seal in the motor unit is on its way out now as it leaks slightly.
