Yes it may help. I’m not sure that I had the option for 75 when I first switched the monitor on - was running on generic pnp monitor drivers. After I’d installed the drivers from the AOC disk I was able to select 75Hz.

I’m only running a GTX750TI but works really well on Diablo 3.

would you be able to upload the drivers please,my micro pc doesn't have dvd drive

might need to update the driver for it. When i fist plugged mine in it was just registering as a generic PnP monitor. I updated mine by finding it in device manager, properties, driver and then update driver. Didn't use the CD that came with it but mine works fine and doing 75hz

have tried updating driver. windows says best driver already installed. it's a microsoft driver dated 2006. the monitor is registered as a generic pnp. i never received any driver disc with my monitor?
i've managed to improve text by changing text size to custom 200%. it looks a bit jagged rather that smooth though.

haven't been able to get freesync working in radeon settings yet

ooops just found driver disc in bottom of the box! will give it a try

Check your box, the CD's on all mine were just floating around inside the box loose.

installed the drivers from disk, monitor now being recognised.
am connected using my old dvi cable from my dell u2412m. do i need to use one of the supplied cables to get freesync?

Still undecided on this as it seems really good value for money however I only have a 970 which will probably struggle, particularly in games, unless I turn some settings down.

Still worthwhile going for?

I 'only' have a GTX 970, however I previously had a 1440p monitor so i was used to having settings slightly lower. At 1440p there is much less of a need for anti-aliasing, and I would personally rather have 1440p and slightly lower settings than 1080p and higher settings. I guess it's a personal choice though as I am sure some people would disagree, I just hated going back to 1080p after getting used to 1440p even at slightly lower settings.

Well the Mrs absolutely loves hers - she went from a 22" Dell P2214H so not a massive surprise there :)

Me on on the other hand, pretty underwhelmed as it stands. The dark shades smearing is awful, fine in bright areas but dark games are painful to look at.
EDIT: The effect is like the darker shades have lag on them, very disconcerting and ruins atmosphere, at least for me. The other half isn't bothered.

Also have a lot of banding on them, really surprised at that. Coming from a Dell U2515H it feels like a downgrade :(

Hopefully it's all because I am an idiot and have missed a setting somewhere, otherwise I will be getting rid of mine.

I am feeling the same way with mine. I could bear all the flaws of this monitor for the price except the ghosting in dark areas. And TV/films... holy ghosting. No-one mentioned it and I never even considered it but there is ghosting everywhere. For games it's not always even noticeable unless it's dark but real footage is darker than games. Sunny day in a film is darker than a sunny day in a game - you get the idea. Overdrive adds a ton of that effect where borders change colours without helping the ghosting much. The banding is really strong in the bottom left and top right 9ths of the screen - I would have been happier if the entire screen slightly but uniformly banded. The ghosting is the real kicker for me. As it stands I might be getting rid of mine as well.

Try setting overdrive to medium and alter your colour settings using nvidea control panel. I felt this way the first game of PUBG but since fiddling around with it i cant say i notice any ghosting. As for banding i never noticed this

That's good to know. Just need to convince myself to go ahead with it whilst it's priced at its current price and not look at my bank account till I get paid next week now.

Hardly a review. Product overview would have been better suited.
As this monitor is so new, we’ve not yet reviewed it, however we can say from years of experience that AOC is a highly consistent monitor manufacturer and has won numerous recommendation awards from us over the years.

I’m using a 750ti :D

No issues with games albeit I am running things like SimCity, Diablo 3 and Civ. Not really taxing on the GPU.

GTA IV was fine in 1440 too.
