***** AORUS DID NOT INVENT THE GRAPHICS CARD, THEY PERFECTED IT! RTX 2000 SERIES!! *****

Tbh I think there a lot of failures that they are letting on me and seanyc5 have the extract same probs so the cards are at fault but hey on wards and upwards I always say lession LEARNED big time ..

That is a good attitude to have but I really cant endorse it if it means you are just going to accept this. I would really push for a new card mate if you have tried everything.

I even bought a complete brand new power supply to see if the coil whine would go away, which it did not although it did reduce it. I RMA the card.

You are not running ASUS AI suit by any chance? I would personally try a brand new install of windows and this time round do not install any software, not gigabyte, not ASUS, no nzxt, Thermaltake nothing no Monitoring software I mean also no RGB software too, and see if that fixes it. Just windows and gigabyte card and drivers for gfx card.

I can tell you that ASUS monitoring software ( the AI suite) was doing something strange to my graphics card, it was making it power down during idle but not under load. Although i never tested it long enough to prove the suspicion, it did the same thing to another graphics card i installed so it must have been it. ALSO the AI suite was causing my computer to random shut down, it was conflicting with the temp monitoring software on the Thermaltake Fan software and the gigabyte software, it has a bug I have never had so much problem with new gear in my 20 years of pc building.

do you have a new power supply by any chance to test it on?

its worth a try but i would really try and get either gigabyte themselves or ocuk to give you a new card under warranty. It not fair you pay £1300 for a card and its not working properly.

No mate no asus software on just real temp and afterburner to keep a eye on the temps .

To be honest mate if I sent this card back again they would test it and send it back to me I’m not happy at all expected more to be honest I can’t believe they didn’t find faults with it I no for a fact it’s not my pc run numeris test cpu and so on new psu problems still persist.which can really be frustrating when playing a game and bang BSOD lol.

That sucks!! Your card wasn't accepted as an RMA? So you have a faulty card and are stuck with it?

Did you try some of the earlier drivers? or it might be worth considering a BIOS update from a different model?

Don't take this the wrong with but I hope it dies or shows the space invaders artifacts so you can get a working replacement.

I went though 5 different sets of drivers mate thought the newest one woulda stopped the Bsod but they haven’t .

Not moaning st OcUK at all just never bought a piece of hardware with problems like this .

No don’t have another system mate was thinking of gettin a new pc but it gonna spend any more for the money I’ve spent I coulda Gettin a new one .

Remove the GPU from your system and run off the integrated GPU on the CPU

can you install prime95 and do just a CPU stress test and see if you still get BSOD?

then install Mtest and see if your memory is stable, this should eliminate that.

Then install Heaven benchmark and run that of the integrated GPU.

or you can combine both those steps above and follow this steps here

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/stress-test-cpu-pc-guide,5461-8.html

If it still BSOD then its not the GPU .

i would also try if it does not BSOD while doing above test with the 2080ti plugged back in then installed a fresh copy of windows like i advised aReinstall windows above with no temperature software or rgb software installed, keep it bare as possible? on only 1 temp hard drive that you know works well. Dont install any add in cards or sound cards or anything extra in the PCI slots.

if you still get BSOD then I would contact Gigabyte and tell them the situation and see if they can help but dont just sit on it because something is faulty here, its either software, cpu, ram or gpu.

I would after reinstalling windows try to flash your motherboard BIOS to the latest one and also the firmware for the GPU to the latest.

Mine is loades better now I have a new PSU - before it would crash in 10mins. Now its more like an hour lol, like I said I will wait for a a driver update or two and if its still crashes every game in an hour or so then I will look at RMA.

I only normally play for an hour or so at a time anyway I am just saving more often haha.

All my driver and BIOS are latest, even done the BIOS update on the GPU that was posted on here a few pages back. Ill have a butchers now to see if there is another update actually.

I want to put some better thermal paste on mine too but not sure if Gigabyte allow it so will hold off and see what happens in a driver update or two hopefully it will be more stable by then if not I will RMA and hopefully have better luck than scubes.

I was going to suggest trying an earlier driver as some of the newer ones seem to be causing issues. But you seem to have tried a lot of them so it's unlikely. Another PC as suggested. I take it that you have tried a windows reinstall?

I would be in touch with a lawyer as this is not fit for purpose, OC need to take this back as it is not suitable and faulty, how can they send it back to you saying there is nothing wrong with it.

Before lawyers get involved, I'm sure they'd insist you'd need to remove the OC from your system and test it *all* running at stock (incl. mem) to identify if the gfx card is at fault. If OcUK have already tested the card and confirmed it working query what testing was done by them.

Even this guy reckons the temps are crap because you only get 2 and a bit fans. Form over function.

wow a proper reviewer, he starts off saying pointless doing a bench as all 2080tis are the same as each other anyway, bang on. This is what that reviews should concentrate on the different thermals, not sub 2% performance differences, which are usually caused by silicon lottery anyway.

be easy on gibbo guides, he got the wrong gigabyte SKU thats all :) the gigabyte OC runs cooler and has proper fans :)

Also someone mentioned the auros 1080ti was ok, in my opinion it wasnt good either, its better than reference blowers, but for a 3rd party premium brand its poor. My fan curve e.g. is something else, it looks like the side of a cliff rather than a hill. So gigabyte were always going to be in trouble if they migrated that cooler to the higher TDP 2080ti, which of course as seen in this thread they were.

Sorta got it stable by lowering the clocks never had a crash all weekend seems to be stable now have to wait and see now anyone want my settings ?.

Ok, I got a great deal on Hitman 2 yesterday so just had a bash. Just played the first mission and spent a good 40mins in the second mission - max settings never missed a beat, second level looks amazing.

I didn't bother looking at the temp or frame rate etc just glad it didn't crash lol, must have been nearly 2 hours though and it never did.

I never really played the Hitman (the reboot one) as the 980ti really struggled with it even when dropping the settings, so I can now play the older one in the new engine so its like I got them both from new really. Only done the first two mission before from what I remember.

What are you playing at the minute?
