It's a good upgrade, but since we can't use 4g yet and Siri doesn't have full functionality in the uk I suspect if you have a 2 it's better to wait a year IMHO..

Seriously the ipad 2 is going to be £329 new?
A refurb will almost be a give away. I will upgrade my mrs as well at that price and use her ipad 1 for work and my son to play with!

iPad 1 is at 99% on the 5.1 update. Need to charge the sod though as it is at 20% batt life.

yeah me too someone just offered me £300 for a 32gb 3g, thats a bit of a **** take, I'm hoping 350-400

Honestly, neither. Whilst the Smart cover is cool to begin with, it soon becomes more of a pain than the benefit it provides imo.

Just to confirm here.. ITunes 10.6.0.40 installed on Windows 7 x64 and working.

As I type IOS 5.1 is "installing" on IPad 2 i.e. it's done downloading and now installing (the black screen with the grey apple with the progress bar at 3/4). I will update you soon...

I have used OTA though.

I will do the IPhone 3GS some other time (once servers have calmed down).

EDIT: IOS 5.1 working on IPAD 2
