I think you misunderstood. Allow me to clarify...

They'll bundle some "earpods" which will be beats branded, but you will be able to purchase additional beats wireless headphones or an adaptor for existing 3.5mm headphones.

A bit like they offered the standard headphones and offered the in-ear ones as an additional purchase.

They won't be beats branded in an iPhone box.

I'm sticking with my iPhone 5S as it does everything I want and I like the smaller form factor. If I needed to change the phone I would get the 5SE.

cool story bro.

I have a 6 Plus and have been very happy with it for the last two years.

I could keep on going with it with no problems, but when I look at what I'd be getting if I was to upgrade:

3D Touch
Live Photos
4K video recording
Faster Touch ID
Noticeable speed improvements.

Adding in camera improvements and whatever else is new in the iPhone 7, it suddenly becomes a pretty compelling upgrade.

I just bought a 6s plus.

3D Touch is a decent feature, once you know it's there you wil use it. Saves a lot of time.

Live Photos - novelty really.

4K - worth it

Touch ID - insanely fast.

Noticeable speed improvement ip7 will probably twice as fast as the 6s. The plus will be the one with all the toys I'd imagine.

Couldn't disagree more on the live photos with the caveat that you HAVE to try it through the motion stills app, it's fantastic.. turns all your photos into little gifs.. I'm surprised Apple didn't implement it like that it's so much better than using 3d touch and having your fingers on the screen/only 1 pass.

Try it! It's awesome, the little quirks you see as people are getting ready for a pic or action shots are totally worth it.

My ipad mini is horrendously slow so i am thinking about getting the 7 plus. I just don't know if it will be too big compared to my 6.

I have the same idea. Only thing I really use my iPad for over my phone is reading, any streaming is done on the MBA or desktop, so I'm leaning towards getting a plus size phone. I'll see once the 7 is unveiled to whether I'll go for the latest or snap up a 6S+.

WatchOS3 is a MASSIVE improvement. Loving the watch again and I can now say third party apps do work.

Live photos is good, but Apples implementation could be considerably better. It works far too badly even in their own apps and doesn't easily convert in to little gifs. It is too difficult to share with other people / your own devices.

Just sending it to my own iPad is too difficult, as it doesn't work through email.

I do like live photos but it isn't without its limitations as dlite points out below. It is however in its infancy so I expect it to be made better as time goes on.

Best things of the 6s+ over 6+ for me was the speed and unlock. Force touch I never use (if it was used as a "right click" then it would be useful, but the way its been used by apps etc is close to useless), and live photos are "cool" but that's about it. I don't use 4k video as I prefer the 60fps option of 1080p.

Same reason I want a 7 is for speed / if that dual lens camera is a big upgrade, albeit my 6s+ on iOS 10 seems faster than it was on 9.

iOS10 is nippy and that on my old 6. I have no real need to upgrade my 6 for the speed with iOS10 which is quite impressive considering its 2 years old. My missus has the 6s though and it is a lot faster than mine. Touch ID is one of the main areas where the speed is really apparent.

Fez, how you finding your iPad pro? (remember that offer on another site)

Absolutely love mines, I never use my MBA anymore!

I ended up selling it. I didn't use it anywhere near enough to justify the cost of it. Amazing bit of kit but it turns out I prefer to have a laptop to do most things on the sofa.

I love the event teaser image.

Will we finally get a mobile phone camera capable of proper bokeh?
This could be a photography game changer !!!

Smartphones along with Instagram & Snap Chat have killed the consumer camera market. All of the big camera manufacturers (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Samsung, Fuji) have, or are, stoppong their consumer camera product lines.

If Apple is about to launch a mobile phone with a camera that can do bokeh like in their event image then the (non Pro) DSLR market is under threat too.

I can't wait to see what Apple gives us.
