Also remember folks that Watch Dogs Legion that comes free with the card cant be claimed after end of November, so if we get the cards late we have to fork out another £90 for the game...

Everyone just needs to calm down, relax and wait for their card to come - otherwise ask for a refund with the link they have provided. This isn’t Overclockers wrong doing at all, and I’m sure the whole Overclockers team like Gibbo is just as stressed (if not more) than we are.

This is a problem from the card manufactures not supplying enough cards? Why is everyone trying to take down Overclockers

At the very least letting people know their position in the queue would be useful, as well as any rough indication of expected numbers based on past orders. If I'm number 4,003, and you're expecting batches of 50 every 2 weeks then at least I know that I'm better off getting a refund. If I'm 50th in line then at least I know where I stand. When I ordered it was still showing "expected 18th September", so if I'm looking at a few months until I get my card I'll go for a refund.

Why was my payment processed and complete when the item isn't in stock? I literally got my money stolen. Safe to say I will never be using overclockers again.

Because thats how OcUK work. It's now a "pre-order", and OcUK take your money at the time of order, even on a pre-order. They sit with your money in their accounts until the item comes into stock.

It's yet another reason I don't shop here anymore.

No....Every card said Pre-Order, regardless of an exact date and time, they all said Pre-order. OC' aint the bad guys to be fair, If you aren't happy, get a refund.

All the other vendors also said pre-order and then said out of stock when they hit capacity, and yeah it did say preorder, because OCUK wasn't getting even some of them like MSI until today so you'd be safe in assuming that's why they all said pre-order because they didn't have one single card to send out.

Not consumers fault they have nothing to track stock/orders to disable after X orders.

I managed to get an order in at 15:31 and the card was showing for pre-order with expected 23rd of September, paid via Amazon UK.

Tad dissapointed that considering how long overclockers appear to have been in operation online they don't have some for of stock control/inventory on their front-end. Taking money from their customers for items they clearly don't have instock and blatantly no idea of when will be instock is shocking abuse of customer trust.

I have made a complaint to Amazon Pay and left a review on Google.

Oh and yes, they accept Amazon Pay but clearly not heard of AWS - clearly a tinpot IT department...

I ordered an MSI Ventus at 16:53 yesterday, by the looks of this thread I'm looking at a late November/December delivery date which isn't too terrible. I encourage anyone who is unsatisfied by a wait this long to cancel so I can move up the queue ;)

LOL, I'm with you :D

Thanks for the info and answer @Gibbo

the only thing I’m a bit disappointed with is when I phoned yesterday I was told I was in the first ten for the MSI trio, when I phoned today to change the post code as it was incorrect the gentleman on the phone informed me there were thousands before me. When I questioned how I was told when I placed the order because the site was down orders were still being downloaded which is why I got bumped so far to the back. Bit disappointed but there are worse things going on in life.

will try for a 3090 next week and whichever comes first I’ll keep.

I think the major issue people are having is that monies were taken with no FIRM stock in place. This is akin to drop shipping but without any date.
Yes there were expectation ETA dates listed, but this is pointless without a stock control mechanism in the listings on the web page.

I for one will be waiting, my 1080 can last a little longer.

Queue position per manufacturer would be nice for people to know.
Wouldn't give away any overall sales figures and customers just need to keep an eye out for announcements for their cards manufacturer to give them an idea of where they are.
Also agree with others, use some sort of automated queuing system, it was painful yesterday.
Appreciate you are trying your best, it must be mayhem up there

I think its safe to say,
This was just pre order day,
Just keep your order, if you manage to get one from somewhere else in the mean time (Good luck with that btw) then cancel when you do,
Otherwise just wait it out, apart from a few lucky ones most of the country will be in the same boat.

Incredibly scummy considering I had a "payment authorisation" yesterday and a "payment processed" today, yet nothing in stock. Unbelievable.

Ah yes just go click a button and you have a whole web store! It isnt that easy and its insulting to an entire industry that you think that.

Yeah... It pretty much is that easy nowadays. All the major cloud providers offer automated scaling of infrastructure in response to demand for exactly this kind of situation and they have done for years.
