just checked, yes mine is different to that on my account.Got the "no Stock" email like most people, did anyone else notice that their order number quoted on the email does not correspond with the order number on their account?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Around 4PM I believe I got through on the phone, I got to checkout so many times prior but it just kept crashing in the cart. I did think it was highly unlikely I was in the first 10 for that card but based on the wait time and the site not working for me I assumed it could have been correct. I’m just disappointed as it’s my birthday today and I would have liked that shiny new card! What time did you order go through at?

MSI are aware that we have pre-sold several thousand of their cards, so they know to get making the cards to meet the orders
Taking payment when you don't have the product, nor do you know when you'll get the product is not ok
Look on the bright side everyone: at least you're in a queue.
I'd much rather be in a queue rather than having to continually refresh a dozen different sites at random times of the day hoping there's stock arrived
Do I balls believe it
It's hilarious to think a retailer is saying "oh this cheaper model sold by the bucket loads" so the more expensive model is launching the week after... Hmm yeah all of a sudden we now can't afford to sell at RRP, that somehow translates to losing money so we need to sell at RRP plus extra £100. It's utter BS and makes zero sense lol.
Capitalism.
I assume there wont be as many people wanting to spend £1500 on card, but I could be wrong.
That doesn't correspond to my amazon order numberAmazon payments order ID's will be different from Overclockers "My Orders" ID's cmon guys, use some common.
I managed to get an order in with a competitor yesterday, but they don't have a forum so I'm going to whinge here based on the same principles...
Doing some v basic maths I've worked out that OCUK (and the other 'big' 2) must be sat on literally 10's of millions of pounds based 90%+ on pre-orders only. i.e. the products were not in stock at the time of order.
Most online retailers only take money on item dispatch. We obviously have the right to cancel the pre-order at any time and get our money back, and they are doing nothing 'illegal', but I'm wondering what happens to all this capital that's just floating around waiting to be realised. Is it 'invested' somewhere in the meantime? (which would be highly unethical, but not illegal)
Can any business nerds enlighten us?
Probably to beat AMD to the punch and tie up pre orders.I'm honestly thinking early next year, and that's on Nvidia, why even bother with a launch with such low availability?
True, but are you at the back of a queue of 10,000 when another site may have a queue of 1,000
Any news on Palit cards stock ?
This is most likely held in an current account as a liability to the company (as they down own that money until the order is shipped). They can choose to invest this money and in return pay for the cards via their own money. Likewise, they can gain interest on the money received, but hey ho that’s how businesses work sometimes.
