Maybe true based on current numbers, but i can imagine there will be a fair few people jumping over to AMD when they launch, and maybe even the 3070 if that cards launch has any stock, which in turn would reduce the 3080 ques
One benefit of being forced to wait for a 3080. Hopefully AMD give enough insight soon so I can decide whether to keep my pre-order or not.

It seems like there are a lot of frustrated people who would make the jump to AMD if they reveal a competing product, they could probably snatch up a lot of people currently waiting on 3080s if they were to bring that event forward and open up preorders.

Wonder if the mods will be around for the 5 am shift, for those of you who remember what happened last Thursday morning lol
I kinda expected it to happen again. There were signs it would (carefully wording this to not fall foul of the rules). But alas, no. Still it could still happen later/tomorrow.

I hope I was vague enough here.

Not sure why people who ordered on the 17th are panicking. It is obvious that they will get RTX in October, november for those who ordered on the 18th, december for those who placed order on the 19th and next year for the rest. Yes, it is that simple. Obviously if your mate works there you will get a favour and earlier shipment.
I ordered an EVGA on the 17th at 15:25 and I'm not so sure I'll see it in October (which was my original expectation). OCUK have stopped preorders of them (and in fact did so quite early on) and didn't even list the EVGA 3090s.. All a bit concerning to me that they've not received a single item to my knowledge. But we'll see I guess.

Bro how are you not dead
Yeah, I don't need much sleep. But 4 hours or my waking hours performance degrades noticeably. 2 hours a night, not sure I'd function on that.

Random question (apologies if off-topic)

Given someone pointed out power requirements upping on asus cards, looking into possible splurging on cablemod sleeved cables (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cabl...mi-and-rmx-cable-kit-black-red-cm-13x-cm.html) - because why buy an 800 quid GPU and not make it look fancy?

One thing I've noticed is that you tend to only get 1 8 PIN cable - given some cards now need 3 - are they available to buy individually anywhere?

I do think Nvidia will sort most of the supply prior to AMD’s event/release. But at the moment, it’s hard to have much hope for that when you see small shipments coming in every few days, for 1000’s of pre-orders.

It will ramp up. The question is mostly when it will. Some board makers changed the design (before capacitorgate, not because of it!) and maybe that's part of the reason some other makers are ahead of the game here? Hard to tell from this vantage point I guess?

First post, Been lurking in here for a while. Cancelled my order, MSI gaming x. Probably no use to anyone as the unofficial calc had me at position 1800+ XD. I've decided to try for whatever AMD launches and if that fails maybe Nvidia stock will be better by then. Any just here to take part in this mess and see people finally get their cards.

As much as I'd like my 3080 Eagle to arrive so I can play, in a strange way I'm sort of glad it is getting delayed. It'll be really interesting to see what AMD's new cards can do and how much stock they have at launch etc. This is my first '80 series card so if AMD does get very close for a good price...

Hey guys I've been reading all night.
I'm also quite concerned. I know the cards will come but as it's said being given the money and not having proper updates or times given when other sellers they give its quite frustrating, annoying. I know we shall have patience but from the 17th soon will be 15 days and we don't have a proper system of updates or communication. No idea when the strix will come.
I think and performance will be as 3070s but will not reach the 3080s, of course will have better relation price cost.
I'm quite sure they will send our cards just before the presentation, so we have min or none time to refund if comes better cards

This was my thoughts exactly :D I recently got a corsair rm750x so went with corsair premium starter kit

Just spoken to support on the phone regarding concerns raised in another thread about the gigabyte eagle, can confirm no more queue switching without cancelation and reorder, and the queue tracker should be published today or tomorrow.

They come with 2 PCI-E 8 pin. That single 8 pin is EPS, for the CPU. I don't know about buying them individually though.
