Yeah I'm an early one too, but if they aren't even receiving ANY EVGA I'd be tempted to cancel and try to last on my 970 even longer. How can they say they are communicating everything then support just up and says they aren't receiving any EVGA in a private email?
Wait they told you they’re not receiving any EVGA cards? If so then I’m going elsewhere. This lack of info is stupid.

Maybe, I'm still having good faith otherwise I wouldn't be here as you guys, it's just that I'm leaving my frustration here, you know

But still.
Its the small amount cards arriving
+disorganized
+poor communication
+our inpatience
+ they took the money in advance
...

19 god damn man thats 2021 in my opinion iof i was You id cancell and be on instant buy lookout for card anywhere You can get.
Yeah, I wasn't excepting it anytime soon tbh. Not hugely bothered by waiting, just curious if anybody had any idea on the current influx.

for me it's the lack of communication.
I've no problem paying upfront. I know I need to wait, im fine with that. But for the love of god, talk to us! answer questions and stop letting speculation run rife, ignoring us isn't helping the situation at all!

At least there is a 3080 update thread for stock updates, not heard anything concerning the 3090's.

As others have said constant communication even if there is no updates is the way to go, it keeps people feeling like valued customers instead of cash cows.

It’s like there’s a global pandemic slowing production or anything. What?.... wait....

They started production in August at a time when they knew the price point would generate massive demand and Covid was already setting records for pc component purchases. Can’t just blame Covid for **** poor supply management.

But the ventus & some pilat cards have been shipped to some with no mention in that thread, so even the official information that we're being pointed to is clearly not up to date!

I honestly don’t see why OCUK don’t have someone going through the orders, putting them in chronological order for each item and contacting the purchaser to let them know where they are in the queue.

I get it’s not a huge business with a huge amount of staff, but one person doing the number crunching could get this done in a couple of days, maybe less.

Is the Gaming XTrio really worth its value?
in raw performance terms and build quality, no probably not because there are cheaper alternatives that same or similar perf. I'm not aware of MSI having binned quality silicon they might do based on what they receive...

in terms of being powerful and very quiet plus actually shipping, I think you have to weigh that up. The TUF OC was probably the best choice in hindsight as the perf is the same but is arguably a better build quality. Personally I don't think the Strix and EVGA 3080s make sense because they are like +£200 over MSRP you might as well wait for a 20GB model to my mind

either way you are arguing over £50 here or there, if that is important to you go for the standard TUF if you can get it @£660 you'll have to wait for it and unless AMD beat 3080 perf I doubt prices will come down much, not for a long time anyway

In an email above, they said they were allowing people to switch from EVGA to other makes because EVGA apparently announced that they were only stocking the US. Which is more information than they've given out publicly, sent via email to only one person.

I dont see the point of a queue system unless OcUK know when and how many cards there getting each week/month

1 week Asus for instance could ship out 6 cards next week a month latter that could ship out 100 to OcUK

Thats not the point though, just because you are not bothered, many more people are, all we want is place in queue to make informed decisions.
Currently it is the blind not even bothering to lead the blind.

They post occasional updates in this thread and other stickes. You aren't getting your card in a days timescale, it's weeks or months. There's no amount of information, even if it was available that will change that. It's a GPU, a luxury item. If anxiety is getting the better of your patience, cancel your order.

How can you make an informed decision without knowing the numbers of GPUs coming to this and other retailers and the schedule of those? Nobody has all that data and nobody is obliged to provide it.

All very fair as are other statements.

Stock issues hasn't stopped OCUK compounding the issue by continuing to take more and more orders, the scale of the issue is also by their own hand.

Those later order do not "compound" any issues regarding delivery of the earlier orders. They may increase the volume on the forum here though.

People constantly cancelling, thousands of orders.

You want it automated that could be used in future for similar scenarios, not some poor soul having to drudge through it all
