Are you going bald?

Hair started receding pretty much by the time I turned 20.
I'm in my mid 30's now and I don't have a lot up top, I have a no.1 all over, can't stand it when it gets long, I find it very irritating.

Do I care? Nope. Accepted it a loooong ago, looking at genes from both sides of my family, I never really stood a chance.
If you offered me a miracle cure at a reasonable price, would I take it? Yes. But no stapling on hair for me. :p

I have a mate in his late 20's who's losing his hair, and is pretty much in the same state as the guy the OP mentioned. Tries all different products, keeps his hair long to try to hid it.
Shame because he gets very depressed about it all.

Started going bald in my early 20s.

I am now 38.
Did I care then? No.
Do I care now? No.
A guy called me bald **** in a road rage incident maybe 5 or 6 years ago now, it's the only time it's ever been mentioned by anybody.

I got my grandfather's genes so no hair loss for the time being. My brother drew the short stick and he's quickly becoming a baldy like my father. :D

Going bald is totally natural for men it's to do with testosterone and inherited genetics, the guys with full flowing hair at the age of 40+ have more pheromones than testosterone so they are more like females and retain their hair.

But if you have a full head of hair your woman may fulfill more of your fantasies as she is likely to be attracted to beings which bend towards the female type.

OC this could be total BS but if you are going bald it's a good excuse.

I'm going with this! :D

Bald since 21.... since I got my first motorbike. Think it's linked to the helmet and scaring myself silly so often! lol

I've long been a baldy, I don't mind it though. My dad never seems to be comfortable with his hair loss, he sports a comb-over and when he was on his third beer one time I made some comment about Baldilocks and the Three Beers, which he was thoroughly unimpressed by.

I have my grandads genes, he had a full mop of dark hair even when he died, really thick, like me.

I will never go bald thankfully :D I am quite grey now though lol

I'm 26 now,and even though i generally always keep my hair short (No.3 all over) Its started to recede at the front in 2 lines so it kind of looks like i have horns from a distance haha.

My grandad is bald,My old man..bald so i had it coming.

I've thought about just shaving the lot off with a number 1 or maybe just no attachment on at all for the stubble look.

I've been "folically challenged" for about 12 years :p

Don't care - least important thing to me. In fact I was never one for fashion and having stylish hair, so it makes that decision even easier.

Losing hair since 22 and hated it :( Pretty much all gone on top now :(

Amazes me how much things have progressed in the medical world yet hairloss still eludes them with the stock response being " we should have something in the next 10 years". Pretty sure people have been hearing that for decades now.

I used to have very long hair when I was young mainly because I could and I always promised myself from having seen loads of other men go through conceals and come overs that at I point I was tempted to do that I would just shave it all off.

I kept my promise and usually keep it between a Number 2-4, its a lot easier to look after and looks better.

Not a sign of hair loss for me; My father is 50, and his hairline has reseeded no less than mine.

People that worry about hair loss bemuses me.
I mean, I understand they are concerned, and care about their look.
But why? Every single person that exists is aging.

Ageing doesn't necessarily constitute hair-loss, some people start losing it in their early teens, I've seen people in their 70's with hair so thick you'd think it was a wig but wasn't. It might not bother you because it hasn't happened to you, if it does then your tune might change. Some people suit the shaved head look, most don't. Theres definitely some kind of double standard there when a woman is losing her hair its the worst thing in the world but if its a man the sympathy goes as far as "just shave it off".
