Are you working over Christmas?

After a couple of decades of working over Christmas including occasionally Christmas Day and New Years Day it's lovely to be in a company that closes down from Christmas to New Year. I finish this Thursday afternoon and go back on 2nd Jan.

First time in a decade I'll be finishing on Christmas Eve and not going back until 6th Jan.
We'll ignore the one day on call in that period as hopefully there won't be any calls

Just the 25/6th off this year which will be the only time i've worked that close to xmas since working retail. I was initially meant to work boxing day afternoon but that's now changed to a late evening shift on the Friday which is a pain.

I'm at least off for the following week after NYE. Office is mostly dead for this period so I'm not too fussed about working this period, gives me some time to get ahead of projects before its flat out until mid feb.

Makes me miss working in a university, over 2 weeks off paid during this period without eating into your holidays.

24,25,26 and the 1st off, 23, 27th is part day. Everything else including 28th work as normal including NYE when I'll be finishing shift just as everyone else will be partying it up

Aye, same, 3 weeks I think it was. Bloody awesome :(

I finish work on 24th and back on second.
Got a lot to think about over Christmas in regards to work and life.
I see 2025 being quite pivotal. Semi scared semi excited.

Don't really like taking time off over Christmas bar a couple of days.
When I was younger I used to volunteer for Xmas day work as it was. 3x pay!
