Are you working over Christmas?

21st is my last day then back in on the 4th which is a decent amount of time off. Work is basically closed as well so will not get people trying to bother me either.

Best part of Christmas Break, I'm off from 24th till 4th, but good thing is everyone else is too, so no massive backlog of emails to contend with on return, except the odd one from the peeps who live to work who no doubt will still be sending stuff at stupid hours when it could just wait.

Finished yesterday, logged off last night to return 4th January.

Had holiday left and its going to be very busy during the first few months of next year so I thought I would grab some time.

boss decided there not paying double time for xmas and boxing day so told him i'm not working .. i'm a chef always had dbl time over xmas will be looking for another job jan .. lol :)

I don't have any time booked off over Christmas, but I expect it to be quiet and I'll be WFH so it should be plain sailing. I do have lots of leave left to take though so am planning to book a couple of weeks off in Jan and do some serious dossing :p

EDIT: I do get the bank hols off though, so not actually 'working over Christmas'.

What a fool your boss in. You’re one of the trades in huge demand. I dare say he’ll quickly regret that!

I will have next Thursday and Friday off work, and will be working the following week except for Friday (New Years Eve). I decided to work the week after Christmas Day because work will mostly be a ghost town so I will actually be able to do some work due to a very light meeting load that week.

Finish on the 23rd Dec, back on the 4th Jan.

Eleven days off for just three days holiday (24th and 31st are both official half days).

Love it when Christmas Day and New Year fall on a Saturday, it just all works nicely.

Xmas eve, xmas day, boxing day, NYD, no. Days inbetween supposed to be in I've requested leave but damn boss won't confirm. Either way I won't be around those days I'm off to the other end of the country to visit my mother who has dementia havn't seen her for six months he can shout as much as he likes.

well that went well ... lol i'm off 24,25 1,2 ... tho feelings in the kitchen might get a bit weird as no one else said there not doing it.. :P
no doubt i'll be pushed in jan .. but thats then .. :) and a few weeks off will be good bit of fishing :)

Christmas day & Boxing day although because it falls on a weekend, I'll get the Mon & Tue. In on Wed & Thu then off Fri - Mon. I'm used to to 2 weeks at Christmas but started a new job this year working in a hospice so they need enough folks around to make sure things go smoothly. Really loving it so don't mind anyways.

Working from home till xmas eve, though should be pretty chilled as most people finish this week. Looking forward to it as it will give me a chance to catch up on all the paperwork. Did plenty of overtime recently so will probably take some time off in lieu rather then charge for it. Then back "in" on the 10th.

I only have 25/26th and 1st off.

As is the norm with the nepotism at my work, the usual faces have the eves and the bank hols off whilst the rest of us have to work & our union is stellar as always about getting it sorted
