Sorry, should have said I was talking about the multiplayer side of things. I'm a huge Arma fan but the latest patch has completely broken MP. Servers crashing, clients crashing, clients causing other clients to crash..

Edit - If you are still attempting to play this and you crash please can you do the follwing:

There have been various Client and server side patches since the deployment of Patch 1.26. Most of the issues seem to be fixed now. But one Issue still persists, the dreadded Crash to desktop causes by BEclient.dll

Should you encounter crashes post Arma3 Patch 1.26 please check your RPT-Files:
C:\Users\USername\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
If that file has a line like this:
Fault address: ******** ********* C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Arma 3\BattlEye\BEClient.dll

The please grab the corresponding *.rpt, *. mdmp and *.bidmp; zip them all up and upload em on this Bohemia Interactive (BIS) site:

It's also worth pointing out that one of the BIS devs has been frequently posting 'performance' server exes in this thread (basically unofficial hot fixes in between patches). Typically these have been compatible with stable branch clients but for troubleshooting these recent debug issues, they need both server AND client to run these new exes. So far there aren't any for 1.28 yet but both players and hosters should keep an eye on that thread - apparently the uptake has been poor (for obvious reasons) so I thought id spread the word.

There are also official BIS servers called CHIMERA which are used to test these exes so give then a hit if you use them (last I saw they ran wasteland or koth)

we know the cause of the problem (some collision with Battleye). We are currently working hard on solving it. It is safe to say now that once we do, there will be a hotfix published.

Bohemia interactive has just released the latest Release Candidate for Arma3 1.28. It is supposed to fix the issues with Client crashes, that have been linked to BEclient.dll.
Currently that fix is only available on Arma3's RC-branch.


In order to gain access to the RC branch, please follow these steps:
Open Steam -> Go to Library -> Go to Arma3 -> <right click> Properties -> Go to BETAS -> Enter the code "Hotfix128Arma3" -> check Code -> Select "RC" from the Dropdown Menu.
 
Not played this for ages. I fired it up yesterday and wanted to play online yet it seems that I need to buy DLC in order to play on populated servers.

Is the DLC any good ? £16.99 seems a lot to pay for a game that I occasionally play.

Is it worth it, heard that it was go carts or something ?

:confused: The DLC you are referring to has not been released yet...

What populated servers are you trying to play on?

Looking at their servers .bikeys you can also use LHM Glasses

Although the new version of SoS is sounding damn amazing, I wouldn't recommend using the old one that is available, a previous patch killed it so use JSRS for now. New SoS should be out soon and it sounds better than current JSRS and the direction that DragonFyre seems to be heading.
