***ArmA 3 Thread***

Thanks for the details.

I won't be able to attend those two events as I am going to be on standyby for a week starting Friday. But I will have the MODS installed and ready to go for next time.

No doubt it will fail and we will revert back to vanilla.

Edit - There is also a TacBF event this Friday at 1900. Accepted mods will be JSRS/TFR. also, AiA_TP and RHS (RU and US Packs) are MANDATORY!

Enjoyed last nights game.

Managed to get everything downloaded and working except the Task Force Radio.
It seemed to install OK and if I press the number pad keys it flashed up for a second that it had changed channel but apart from that it just had "pipe 6 error" written in the bottom right corner of the screen. The plugin was enabled so not sure if I've done something wrong of if the recent ARMA patch has broken something.

Hopefully I'll get it working for tonight if it is still on
 
Teamspeak should move you into the correct channel once it detects you are in game.

Find out what channel your squad is on then press the relevant number on the numpad to switch to that channel.
 
What is the best Altis Life server? I have fun on Asylum but the 200-250 ping makes it insanely difficult to stand my own in a fight

Ok so I start Teamspeak, but i dont connect to anything.
I then start arma and join the server/game. Once I'm in game teamspeak/task force radio should do everything for me connection wise in the background.
I then just have to select the correct channel on my in game radio.

Does that sound about right?
Have I missed any steps?

I've yet to hear anybody and now the TacBF server has changed version and I'm getting the message "No Task force radio channel on this server" before getting kicked off
 
yes all the mods are running and working.
Can't really tell if the radio is working now as the new version of tacbf doesn't work with tacforce radio anymore. Bug that needs to be fixed.

But are the steps above your post all I need to do? Should it work when they fix the bug?
 
Yeah it's 3.9.3 now, public beta. So you need to get it from their website.
I wasn't going to bother until it was their next proper release but it's the only server running.

Ive been watching a load of A3 mod videos this week and im wondering whether there are decent Coop PvE mods out there? I've seen a handful of Breaking Point, Reign of Jurassic, Life, and ArmAGeddon. The latter being the only one which seems to be PvE and coop too.

I dont own A3, and the PvP aspect of DayZ SA puts me off playing that also, and the same might as well be said for Breaking Point really, im not particularly interested in A3, more the mods, so i was hoping to find out if there were a few mods which made it worth buying A3, and getting a handful of mates to do the same. TBH it wouldnt be anything long-term, but 'Geddon looks like something we'd get a weekend of fun out of from time to time, and if the Jurassic mod had coop, things like that would be really cool, and maybe we'd do BP too. DayZ was good for a while, then we all got bored (incomplete doesnt help) but getting a handful of DayZ unfinished mods with their flaws, isnt so bad for the price of 1 game etc.

Any suggestions, and i'll go watch a load of vids (easily watched 6-8h the last 7 days) to get an idea of what they're like. Thx.
 
Started playing some Epoch and downloaded Breaking Point last night but haven't tried it yet. Was quite liking Epoch, well untill a hacker came on and made everyone blue and put us at the same point?

Seems to be like Dayz SA (no zombies) where you need to go find weapons etc so just as thrilling really :)

Saw frankie play some Arma Life on youtube and it looked pretty fun but the RP you need to do is just :eek:

Please do not play Arma 3 LIfe.. They have stolen assets from numerous games, and are using mods from authors who have not given their permission to do so.. You can read about it over here..

Yes heard of this. You also had to pay $30 I think originally to play?!

I've only heard negative things about it, so it's never appealed to me.
